  1. I like the color. I know some ppl are complaining about these “primer look” colors, but there is metallic in it, it is just buried deeper. Seek and ye shall find.

Been dreaming about a WT regular cab short bed 2WD in this color with a 2/4 drop, chrome bumpers, and 18″ replica Chevy Rally alloy wheels.

    1. Indeed, gray often looks like clear-coated primer. But I’ll withhold judgement until I actually see it.

  2. If this site is insistent on doing these first look posts on new paint colors, maybe you should wait until you have actual photos, instead of these stock photos that are notoriously inaccurate to how the paint actually looks (does the Laser Blue Colorado paint color ring any bells for anyone?).

    1. I agree 100%. I purchased a 2024 Silverado n the “New” lakeshore Blue Metallic, and to my surprise it was considerably lighter in real life than how it pictured online when doing a build. Not sure why GM doesn’t just provide actual 6″ x 6″ paint chip to dealers so customers can see the real shade of the respective colour.

      1. so you ordered a color that you never went to a dealers lot to see it in real life? Yea, ok. Thats your own dumb fault.

    2. Interestingly, FYI, on GM’s Canadian website, only 7 colours are now available for the Silverado! Gone are the colours, Harvest Bronze Metallic, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat, Red Hot, and the “New” Lakeshore Blue Metallic! The information above announcing the “New” Lakeshore Blue Metallic is obviously conflicting and outdated, even though GM says it’s new! C’mon GM Authority, fact check the facts!

  3. Great looking color. If I had that option when I bought mine in 2022, I would have gotten that instead of silver.

  4. Didn’t GM authority do a write up about how Glacier Blue Metallic is going away for the 2nd half of the 2024 silverado builds?
Now they post a “story” about how that color is still available. Left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing. Gotta take everything on here with a grain of salt.

    1. I doubt that it’s bona fide trained and qualified journalists, but more likely self-proclaimed wanna be’s writing this stuff, these days.

Like including an image of GM Canada HQ today that was sold to Ontario Power last year. The property sale was even reported on GMA.

Decent research and accurate reporting seems to be steadily decreasing in quality.

Much of what gets posted can be viewed in the vehicle builds online.

As for “As a reminder”…. that seems to fill 50% of articles, regurgitating age old build specifications to fill the space, because fresh information is lacking, is sheer laziness.

I also don’t understand why the availability of two “new” (already built out for the year colours) needs two separate nearly identical articles. Geez, talk about getting “mileage” out of a topic.

  5. It seems like every car company now has their gray that looks too much like rattle can primer and black wheels that look too much like the rattle can black. I live in Wisconsin and these colors look too much like the colors that ended up on cheap winter beaters, and the metallic and clear coat just doesn’t help enough. I want a nice real color and shiny silver wheels. For people who prefer the new look, that’s fine. They are paying for the vehicle and have every right to buy what they want. This is America, after all.

    1. Yes very ugly.

  6. GM has a very limited boring color selection . Need to come up with some new shades / colours .

  7. This color appears to be a match for my ‘21 Satin Steel Metallic LTZ Z71, at least in the pic. I worked for GM for 36 years, and I suspect Chevy found a couple gallons of this gray on a shelf in the back room and wanted to use it up 😂. But I think it is a handsome color, fluffs and buffs beautifully!

  8. I don’t understand the attraction to this boring color that looks like glossy primer. Hard pass.

    1. Agreed. Clear coat over every available pastel colour of primer is fugly.

However, unlike some, I much prefer a nice set of glossy black rims like on my Elevation over 55 different shades of silver that are touch to get a decent match.

Silver looks like absolute crap when it chips and flakes and can’t be touched up without looking a 5 year old did it. Refinishing the entire rim is the only tidy up for silver. Black is much easier to touch up on rims.
