Here Are All The 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 Paint Colors

As the sixth model year of the popular Bow Tie full-size pickup’s fourth generation, the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 receives several noteworthy updates over the previous year, even though the mid-cycle refresh arrived with the 2022 model year. These include several powerplant changes as well as alterations to the exterior paint lineup.

When it comes to available exterior paint colors for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500, The General phased out two hues while adding a different pair as indirect replacements, keeping the overall number of available colors at eleven for 2024. Today, we’re zooming in on exactly what colors are offered on the 2024 Silverado.

Getting into specifics, GM dropped Northsky Blue Metallic (color code GA0) and Sand Dune Metallic (GTL) from the available paint palette. Northsky Blue Metallic has been offered since the Chevy Silverado‘s fourth generation launched in 2019, while Sand Dune Metallic arrived with the 2022 mid-cycle refresh. In their place, the 2024 Chevy Silverado gets Lakeshore Blue Metallic (GXP) and Slate Grey Metallic (GNO).

Black (GBA)

Dark Ash Metallic (G6M)

Glacier Blue Metallic (GLT)

Harvest Bronze (GXN)

Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (G1W)

Lakeshore Blue Metallic (GXP)

Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)

Red Hot (G7C)

Slate Gray Metallic (GNO)

With these changes in place, the 11 colors offered on the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 have their availability distributed across the WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, ZR2, LT2, and High Country trim levels as shown on the table below:

The three extra-charge colors include Glacier Blue Metallic priced at $395, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat priced at $995, and Radiant Red Tintcoat priced at $495. Notably, the two new-for-2024 hues are no-charge exterior paint choices.

Other changes to the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 include the availability of the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine to the Silverado ZR2 trim level and the application of the TurboMax branding to the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine. GM also made the Midnight Edition Package available for the High Country, which was already offered on the Custom Trail Boss and LT Trail Boss trim levels.

For motivation, 2024 Chevy Silverado powerplant options include the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine developing 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine providing 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine cranking out 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, and the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine rated at 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.

  1. Wow, no silver? That’s probably the third most popular color after black and white.

    1. My 2019 was Silver, so I wonder when they dropped that color?

    2. There are 2 “metallic gray” colors, what’s the difference between those and silver?

      1. Com’on. There’s a great difference in the shades from the 2015 Silver Metallic.
Not having that lighter shade stopped my next purchase of the 2024 Silverado

  2. All colors should be on all trims!

  3. The sterling grey is more the new silver option

  4. Wish they didn’t limit the colors…..(no Glacier Blue or Radiant Red on the regular cab) the best two colors.
Glad I already have mine in Glacier Blue!

    1. @Bo, look again. Glacier Blue is available on all trims except High Country. Use a ruler if you have trouble drawing straight lines..

  5. Another outstanding GM committee decision; A vehicle with “Silver” in its historic name, a color cool in the sun that shows minimal dirt, the 4th most popular color in the world (‘23 Web statics) and Chevrolet offers two gray metallic (dark and darker) colors.

Interesting that silver continues to be offered in 2024 by other brands but not Chevrolet and GMC:

    F-150: Iconic Silver Metallic
    RAM: Billet Silver
    Toyota: Celestial Silver

  7. The above chart shows Red Hot for the LTZ and High Country! They have never offered this color for these two models. Go on Chevy’s website and you can’t get Red Hot for them!

  8. Not sure if my eyes are bad, but the new “Lakeshore Blue Metallic” looks a lot lighter in real life, than the pictured truck above. In the picture it looks a lot closer to a navy blue. I ordered my new truck with thew “Lakeshore Blue Metallic” , and it arrived looking a lot lighter than pictured. Although it’s a nice colour and everyone who has seen the colour , loves it, I would have preferred the more “Navy colour” look.

  9. They have already cancelled at least 2 colors for the 2024 model year. I had my Harvest Bronze order kicked back the beginning of March. Not picking another color. I might just pick another company. Seems like the cabs / beds come down the line and are matched with frames and engines. They are built into what they are on the line so why a color for this trim and not another? Too many games for a lot of money being spent.

  10. Not sure what’s going on with the colours, but wasn’t it a couple of months back that GM cancelled the lakeshore Blue, Radiant Red, and a couple of other colours, and now they say they are new colours again? Why such confusion? Why not offer all colours on on models? Here we have a multi-billion dollar corporation and they can’t get the colour options in order! Is it any wonder buyers are fed up and giving up on ordering trucks. It’s not ‘Rocket Science’, what he heck is going on?

  11. Silver is for Silverado. Duh!! The marketing clowns are out of control at GM. “LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMER DUMMIES! ”
With the lack of a “Silver” color for 2024, (Slate Gray doesn’t cut it), and a poor GM design in the back seats of the 1500 Denali and LTZ I’ve given up on 62yrs of GM loyalty.
The new back seats compared to my 2015 LTZ went from a back recline of 108 degrees to a new recline of 100 degrees. Feels like sitting up straight at the kitchen table. The bottom cushioning is just as bad. It feels like sitting on a concrete park bench. It’s only half the cushion density as my 2015. When I had the dealers sales manager compare my 2015 back seating to the 2024 back seating, he stopped trying to defend the issue. I know of no crew that could ride long in that seating today.
I’ve taken friends on long rides to the mountains in my 2015 and they’ve loved the comfort that no longer exists.
Hated to leave GM and can’t believe I’m actually looking at a FORD Lariet!!! Arrgh!
