The new Trailering Package (RPO code PDE) for the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer, an LPO or dealer-installed option for the subcompact crossover, is currently unavailable to order according to information obtained by GM Authority.

The 2024 Chevy Trailblazer is currently in production with the first units rolling off the assembly line in July, and the new model year debuting the nameplate’s second generation mid-cycle refresh.

The Trailering Package is normally available on all trim levels of the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer as an LPO option priced at $895. The package consists of the following elements (relevant RPO code in parenthesis):

  • Trailer hitch, LPO (SDE)
  • Trailer hitch harness, LPO (RZW)
  • Trailer hitch bezel, LPO (5KE)

The LS and LT trim levels of the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer require both all-wheel drive and the turbocharged 1.3L I4 L3T gasoline engine as the powertrain in order to support the Trailering Package. The package is available on all configurations of the Activ and RS trim levels.

The 2024 Chevy Trailblazer debuts a fully refreshed exterior and interior, beginning with thinner upper lighting signatures, a new grille treatment, and 17-inch to 19-inch wheels unique to each trim level. Two new colors, Copper Harbor Metallic and Cacti Green, were added to the palette of exterior tints, while an optional two-tone roof is available on the Activ and RS trims.

The crossover’s overhauled cabin sports an 11-inch diagonal center display and an 8-inch diagonal Driver Information Center as the infotainment centerpiece. The vehicle also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard along with numerous safety technologies. Maximum cargo space measures 54.4 cubic feet.

Under the hood, motivation is provided to the 2024 Chevy Trailblazer by the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine as the base powerplant choice, rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. The previously mentioned I3 L3T engine, developing 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque, is optional on LS and LT trims, and standard on Activ and RS.

Units equipped with the LIH engine, alongside units with the L3T engine and FWD, are paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). The GM nine-speed automatic transmission provides cog swaps for Trailblazers motivated by the 1.3L L3T engine with AWD.

  3. Does that mean that RPO V92 is no longer included (which includes the internal wiring harness behind the bumper I believe)or that you can’t order the towing package which includes the hitch and bezel? If it’s just RPO PDE, I’m guessing you can still buy your own hitch and external harness.

More information on this would be great.
