2024 Corvette Stingray High Wing Spoiler Currently Unavailable To Order

The 2024 Corvette Stingray debuts the fifth model year for the C8 Corvette, bringing with it a selection of small changes and updates for the mid-engine sports car. Notably, 2024 Corvette Stingray buyers hoping to add a touch of customization via the Body-Color High Wing Spoiler will have to wait, as the option is currently unavailable to order. It’s unclear at this time when the Body-Color High Wing Spoiler will become available again.

Tagged with the RPO code 5ZU, the Body-Color High Wing Spoiler is normally offered as an LPO-level option, which means it’s installed by the dealer, rather than at the factory when the vehicle is initially produced. The Body-Color High Wing Spoiler is normally priced at $1,250, and is compatible with all three trim levels of the 2024 Corvette Stingray (1LT, 2LT, and 3LT). The wing also requires one of three specific exterior paint options, namely Arctic White (paint code G8G), Black (paint code GBA), or Torch Red (paint code GKZ).

It’s unclear if the Body-Color High Wing Spoiler will be available in time for the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2025 Corvette, expected to kick off this summer. Production of the 2024 Corvette Stingray began in September of the 2023 calendar year.

Notably, the 2024 Corvette has also been impacted by availability issues for four specific wheel options, as GM Authority covered previously.

Like all preceding model years, the 2024 Corvette Stingray continues to ride on the GM Y2 platform, cradling the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 engine. The LT2 engine delivers 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque when equipped with the optional factory performance exhaust system, and is coupled with the M1L eight-speed dual-clutch transmission co-developed with Tremec. All C8 Corvette variants are produced exclusively at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

  1. Why does gm do things on the option list model year after model year & their suppliers can’t supply them sometimes for months. Pitiful, again & again.

  2. its asinine the high wing has been on constraint for almost 3 years -there are a thousand fabrication shops who could make this – ridiculous GM hasnt the brains to find a reliable supplier

    1. Maybe because GM will not pay a fair price to a good supplier to manufacture these accessories. GM may want these guys to supply this stuff for little profit margins.

  3. Thank goodness. Talk about adding “ugly” as an expensive accessory!

    1. If you pay 90k for a car, you can put whatever the f@#$ you want on it. Just like I did on my carbon flash ’24 with high wing spoiler and red stripes – looks amazing.
