2021 Chevrolet Blazer Changes, Updates, New Features

The 2021 Chevrolet Blazer gets several minor updates, changes and new features:

Exterior

  • Addition of four exterior color options
    • Pewter Metallic
    • Iron Gray
    • Cayenne Orange
    • Cherry Red Tintcoat
  • Deletion of three exterior color options
    • Nightfall Gray Metallic
    • Graphite Metallic
    • Cajun Red Tintcoat

Interior

  • Urethane steering wheel now standard on L, 1LT or 2LT models
    • For 2019 and 2020 model years, these trims featured a leather-wrapped steering wheel
  • Deletion of Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium system with connected Navigation and 8-inch HD color touchscreen (IOT) previously available on 3LT and RS, standard on Premier
    • Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system with connected Navigation and 8-inch HD color touchscreen (IOU) becomes available on 3LT (as part of Sound & Technology Package) and standard on RS and Premier
    • For the 2020 model year, the IOU system was standard on the RS trim, and not offered on any other trim
  • Cargo Management System will now be referred to as floor rail system with adjustable cargo fence (RAE)

Safety

Mechanical

  • Advanced, Twin-Clutch All-Wheel Drive System removed from Premier trim
    • Blazer Premier AWD models will now get a regular AWD system (without the twin-clutch configuration)
    • For the 2019 and 2020 model years, Premier and RS models with AWD featured the twin-clutch AWD system
    • For the 2021 model year, the twin clutch AWD technology available exclusively on RS trim level
  • Trailering equipment package (includes heavy-duty cooling system and Hitch Guidance) now available on FWD models with 3.6L LGX V6 engine
    • Package was previously only available on AWD models with the 3.6L LGX V6 engine
    • Enables FWD Blazer to tow the maximum 4,500 pounds
  • 18-inch spare aluminum (RTX) wheel is now standard on the RS FWD model
    • 2019 and 2020 model years included 18-inch spare steel wheel on all trim levels except for the base L, which didn’t include a spare

Packages

  • Sound & Technology Package now includes Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system with connected Navigation (IOU), rather than Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium system with connected Navigation and 8-inch HD color touchscreen (IOT).
    • Package contents:
      • Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system with connected Navigation and 8-inch diagonal HD color touchscreen (IOU)
      • Bose premium 8-speaker system
      • 4.2-inch display with infotainment connectivity within gauge cluster
      • 2 USB data ports with SD Card Reader located within front center storage bin
      • HD Surround Vision
      • Rear Camera Mirror
      • 120-volt power outlet
    • Availability: optional on 3LT
  • Enhanced Convenience and Driver Confidence II Package (ZL8) available on RS trim for 2019 and 2020 models has been deleted, and its contents have been split out into two packages – Enhanced Convenience Package (ZL8) and Driver Confidence II Package, both available on RS:
    • Enhanced Convenience Package includes:
      • Bose premium 8-speaker system
      • Memory settings
      • Rear outboard heated seats
      • Driver and front passenger ventilated seats
      • Power tilt and telescoping steering column
      • Availability: optional on RS
    • Driver Confidence II Package includes:
      • Wireless Phone Charging
      • HD Surround Vision
      • Rear Camera Mirror
      • Adaptive Cruise Control – Advanced
      • Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking
      • Safety Alert Seat
      • LED Headlamps
    • The Enhanced Convenience and Driver Confidence II Package was available on RS model for 2019 and 2020 model years and included:
      • Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium system with connected Navigation and 8-inch diagonal HD color touchscreen (IOT)
      • Bose premium 8-speaker system
      • Memory settings
      • Rear outboard heated seats
      • Driver and front passenger ventilated seats
      • Power tilt and telescoping steering column
      • Wireless Phone Charging
      • HD Surround Vision
      • Rear Camera Mirror
      • Adaptive Cruise Control – Advanced
      • Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking
      • Front Pedestrian Braking
      • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
