When General Motors officially revealed the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV back in July 2022, the high-performance Chevy Blazer EV SS variant was originally quoted as arriving sometime in the late 2023 calendar year. Now, this now longer appears to be the case.
According to the Chevrolet consumer website, the 2024 Blazer EV SS won’t become available before the spring of the 2024 calendar year. As of the time of this writing, there isn’t a clear reason as to why The General made this correction, although it’s worth noting that the $65,995 base starting MSRP – which includes the destination freight charge (DFC) – still stands.
For reference, the original launch cadence given during the 2024 Blazer EV reveal had the 2LT and RS trim levels arriving in Summer 2023. Meanwhile, the 1LT and PPV variants were expected to become available sometime in Q1 2024.
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV SS stands apart from the Blazer EV lineup in terms of both design and performance. In regard to the former, the SS features a unique front grille, a two-tone exterior color scheme with a black roof and A-pillars, and standard 22-inch wheels. Meanwhile, on the inside, we find sueded microfiber seating with Adrenaline Red surfaces, or available Argon Orange interior upholstery accents, along with a standard 17.7-inch diagonal color touchscreen and standard 11-inch digital driver information cluster.
Safety features include Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Following Distance Indicator, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and IntelliBeam.
With output rated at 557 horsepower and 648 pound-feet of torque, GM Ultium battery and GM Ultium Drive motor technologies drive all four wheels. Under the skin, all Blazer EV variants ride on the GM BEV3 platform, while production takes place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

I love my Bolt EUV but since they discontinued it I’m looking forward to the Ultium Blazer or Equinox.
I would have been interested except for GM’s
lack of CarPlay support.
This blazer by far is the best looking EV suv over all other brands and makes. Great styling!
Old news. Almost 2 months ago I received an email and caption under photo said available Spring 2024. Gives me a couple extra months to save for it. Booyah!
A fool & his money will soon be parted.
American consumer stupidity at its finest.
I see your user name is accurate.
What a gullible fool.
And then, GM will keep their promise, delivering 20 by end of summer. (And probably those are Demo cars)
They still keep their promise.
It is a deja vu from Lyriq.

Dear GM,
Make a very-limited production BARBIE Edition Blazer EV SS to make a few million bucks. Maybe charge $25 grand extra..could be a real collector/winner!
Sound like a deja vu from Lyriq.
GM will deliver 20 by end of summer (Mostly demo). Then call they meet their promise.
Over a year it was unveiled and still not for sale. GM is so excited to promote products you cannot buy. They have done this for decades. “Ignore the crap in the showroom now, look what will come out in 1-2 years!”
Lame.
Do I like the product? Yes. Would I ever consider paying $80k for it? F#ck no.
Who is buying new vehicles now?
GM better up its battery capacity. Toyota is coming out with a 1200 miles battery, on a single charge and it will be rechargeable in 10 minutes and weigh at least 20% less than a similar battery. Should be out for 2025 vehicles . So now, I am thinking , should I wait, instead of buying my Equinox EV.
That’s 1,200 KM (750 miles) not 1200 miles .and it’s vaporware, I’ll believe it when I see it.
You seriously believe Toyota has any chance to deliver on that “dream?”
Toyota has missed every single projections n and go w regard to BEV. There is absolutely nothing to indicate that this will be any different.
IF that technology leap is coming you can bet it won’t be Toyota bringing it to market.
i hope they up the hp the kia gt is alot faster and cheap. it charges faster too.
New technology takes time. Just look at the evolution of the PC and phone technology. It got faster and better but took 20 years. So now worry for me as I will drive my Bolt EUV and enjoy the gas savings and have fun.
