2022 Chevy Bolt EUV Gets New Mosaic Black Metallic Color: First Look

The 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV is offered in seven exterior colors:

Here’s our first look at the new Mosaic Black hue.

The Mosaic Black Metallic color is assigned RPO code GB8 and touch-up paint code WA-384A.

The Mosaic Black Metallic color is a no-cost item available on both 2022 Bolt EUV trim levels – LT and Premier – and is available in conjunction with all three interior colorways:

  • Jet Black
  • Jet Black/Nightshift Blue
  • Dark Ash Gray/Sky Cool Gray

The 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV represents the first model year of the all-electric crossover, which is a slightly larger sibling to the 2022 Chevy Bolt EV, which received a refresh for the 2022 model year.

The most obvious difference between the Bolt EUV and EV is that Bolt EUV is longer than the Bolt EV, adding an extra 6.3 inches in overall length via a wheelbase that’s 2.9 inches longer. That additional length adds 3.1 inches of legroom to the rear seat.

Chevy also differentiates the two Bolts via equipment levels and features. Ventilated front seats, roof rails, and the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assistance system (without Automated Lane Change) are all offered as options on the Bolt EUV, but not on the Bolt EV.

The Bolt EUV and Bolt EV both ride on the GM BEV2 platform and utilize the same single-drive electric motor, which produces 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, fed by the 65 kWh lithium-ion battery. In the Bolt EUV, the configuration provides 247 miles of range per charge. Production of both models was down during the past several months due to a recall and stop-sale associated with battery issues. Luckily, both models have since restarted production on April 4th.
