2022 Cadillac Escalade Configurator Now Live

The online configurator tool for the 2022 Cadillac Escalade has gone live on the automaker’s website, allowing prospective customers to create their very own version of the full-size luxury SUV.

The 2022 Cadillac Escalade arrives as the second model year of the redesigned fifth-generation nameplate, offering a handful of minor updates and changes over the initial 2021 model year. Among the most important changes is the deletion of three exterior colors from the order book, including Shadow Metallic and Dark Mocha Metallic. These have been replaced by three new exterior colors in the way of Mahogany Metallic, Galactic Gray Metallic, and Wilder Metallic.

As we reported previously, the 2022 Cadillac Escalade will now offer a greater range of standard safety features as well. Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels will now come standard with Adaptive Cruise Control, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking and Reverse Automatic Braking, which were previously optional. The base Luxury trim will also now come with Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning as standard, while the Buckle to Drive feature is now standard across all trim levels.

As we reported previously, the 2022 Cadillac Escalade will also introduce a new Touring Package, which is a revised and re-named version of the Driver Assist Tech Package that was offered for the 2021 model year. The Touring package will be available to order on the Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels and includes front and rear soft close doors, illuminating sill plates and Air Ride Adaptive suspension. Lastly, GM’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system will not be available to order on the 2022 Escalade from launch and will be added a later, yet-to-be-disclosed date. It was previously thought the feature would come as standard across all trim levels.

We used the newly launched configurator tool to create our own 2022 Escalade and show what can be done with the web-based software. Our example vehicle is a Premium Luxury Platinum trim in the new Mahogany Metallic exterior color and equipped with the LPO-level Multi-Spoke Polished Dark Android Gloss finish 22-inch alloy wheels. It would cost $106,075 to purchase, including a $101,595 base price, the $625 exterior paint, $2,210 wheels and a $1,695 destination and freight charge.

  1. Can I get that beautiful color on a spiffy new Chevy Cruze RS diesel?

Sorry, no room for such inclusive (aka affordable), fuel sipping, low profit margin nonsense from Barra’s Equitable Green car company 🤣

  2. Only $106,075?! Have you ordered yours yet, Sam?

  3. I ordered my 2022 diesel Escalade in August but then got a call in September saying they stop production of the diesel Escalade indefinitely because of the chip storage. So does this mean they will be filling orders again?
