Intended as an eventual indirect replacement for the ICE-powered Cadillac XT4, the 2025 Cadillac Optiq debuts as the entry-level model in the luxury brand’s EV crossover range. In fact, the XT4 is on the chopping block with production permanently ceasing in January 2025.
Now, Natural Resources Canada has released energy consumption, fuel economy equivalent and range figures for the 2025Â Cadillac Optiq in the Canadian market. This table shows the details:

Notably, the figures shown for the 2025 Cadillac Optiq include both the original NRCan metrics and a conversion to U.S. measurements. Usually, Natural Resources Canada ratings and those supplied by the EPA in the United States are identical or nearly identical, so this provides a close approximation of U.S. efficiency ratings, too.
Comparing the Optiq to rival subcompact EVs shows it to be in the middle of the pack when ranked by energy efficiency in kWh/100 miles. At 33 kWh, it’s just ahead of the 2024 Tesla Model Y Performance AWD with 32, and just behind the 2025 Polestar 2 Dual Motor with 19-inch wheels. Its 302 miles of range per charge puts it second only to the 310 miles offered by the 2024 Tesla Model Y Long Range AWD:

As the most affordable Cadillac EV to date, pricing for the Optiq starts at $54,390 for the Luxury 1 trim, the lowest-cost of the model’s four trim levels. At the upper end, starting MSRP for the Sport 2 trim is set at $57,090. These prices include a destination freight charge of $1,495. The online configurator for the crossover is currently live.
Among the marque’s many standard features are AWD on all trims, dual-motor propulsion, the GM Super Cruise driver assist system (RPO code UKL), a diagonal 33-inch infotainment display, heated front seats, a panoramic fixed glass roof with power shade, one-pedal driving, and much more. Additionally, there’s a whole slew of cutting-edge General Motors safety features.
The 2025 Cadillac Optiq rides on the BEV3 platform. Motivation is supplied by GM electric motors developing 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque, with an 85 kW battery pack to provide energy.
Production of the model is currently taking place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico after starting on Monday, October 14th, 2024.

All my dealer hase told me is my order was accepted and possibly late January for delivery. It shouldn’t be long before GM starts sending some of the allocations to dealers and reviewers.
