That’s a lot of money for a WT. My 2012 regular cab long bed 2WD WT stickered at $23k I found it on a small town lot in May of 2013 and drove it home for $15956, brand new. It is still my daily driver. It has 97k miles and has never been back to the dealer except for the airbag recall. It’s had a battery, brakes, thermostat, and tires in addition to oil changes and wipers. This has been a great truck, it has no rust and averages about 18 mpg in my Midwest state. I am ready for a new truck but I’m not sure that the new ones are this good.
My story is almost the same. 2014 WT six cylinder 2wd short bed. In Summer average 21-22 mpg. Couple recalls. Traded in 2008 HHR. List for 29k but with rebates and gm Card credits out the door just under 20k. 91k miles. My daily driver. Being retired would only go for a small S10 size truck. Guess will be holding on to this ride for a long time. Put a set of Michelin on. Big improvement in ride. Was smallest gm truck at the time. Found it on local dealer lot. Most didn’t have any. July of 2014.
Get a Maverick
Comparisons from more that a decade ago, lmao
So inflation has gone up 50% in a decade? That’s a news story in itself. 😬 wages definitely haven’t increased that much In a decade.
When quality was better!
Well, that’s how long those trucks last, if taken care of. Those guys are in the market, but they’re priced out and cannot see the benefit of spending all that money for essentially the same function as what they’re driving.
gm has publicly stated they are funding EV development on the backs of hardworking Americans who need or want a truck. They know truck buyers are their most loyal… so they punish them by jacking up MSRP to fund an EV pipe dream. CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR.
With the economy their will be deep discounts to sell these 2025s. People have had it with the price gouging. Iam not financing electric car technology anymore. I bought a used car for the first time in 35 yrs and saved $14,000 from sticker on a 14 month old car.
Vehicle pricing is way out of control and price gouging is supposed to be illegal.I get that all the presidents since 2000 spent way too much money in their administrations and the Fed was out of tricks so they raised the interest rates. However the inflation percentage came down but the prices remain consistent,BS.The retailers are going to price themselves out eventually and yes people have had it.If they don’t stop everything will crash again, freaking morons.
Wow, crazy prices. I bought a Brand new 2015 4wd Double Cab LT for & 31k. These prices are close to double in 10 years. Hopefully, I won’t need a new truck in quite a while, I still don’t even have 20k miles on it, lol. With gas prices the way they are, I drive my small car mostly, unless I need my truck for something, or the snow gets deep.
Yes, EV R&D is very expensive and it’s part of these too- high prices. So, who initiated the EV pipe dream and why did the manufacturers buckle under, or did they have a choice?
Rebates what does that word mean gm definitely forgot those 5000 to 6000 rebates are history
Stop buying. Plain and simple!!! They will be forced to drop prices. Simple supply and demand. But unfortunately there are a ton of fools who think they need everything NOW!!! Prices on trucks are higher than some houses. Stupid
