  1. Glacier Blue Metallic is one of the best Silverado colors ever created. Especially on the ZR2 Silverado.
    Sad to see it go.

    1. How about bringing back some two tone choices again?

      1. Similar to ford offering only two colours, white and black back in 2016 on a limited model. These days ford charges depending on the colour. Bad enough these trucks cost a fortune, they should come in various colours or as ford does now; at no extra charge,

      2. Always liked the first generation Silverado that were one color on top, then below the trim line there was another color. Had a 1984 S-10 in the Sport trim that was red and black .

        1. I had a new 82 S-10 short bed in Sport trim with yellow on top and black on the bottom, it was a looker. Traded it in on a new bright red 84 Fiero 2M4 with a sunroof. Traded that in for a Celebrity sedan and a family.

    2. Luckily Riptide is pretty close to Glacier

    3. Agreed.

The Dynamic Blue Metallic (GLT) aka Pow Zinga Metallic-1 on my ’23 Sierra Elevation looks good, receives positive comments and stays cleaner appearing than some other colours.

It took several months before the touch up paint became available.

    4. Damn good thing I bought my 2024 LTZ in that color before it was discontinued!!

  2. So we’re losing 4 but gaining 2. Soon it will be 2 colors/shades, white or black. Take it or leave it gm. Sorry but this company is going down the crapper! Sad I’ve been a fan since the 60s

  3. I have a Glacier Blue ‘24 Silverado and had a ‘22 with the same color. Obviously I love the color. I also have a ‘24 Camaro in Riptide Blue. It’s a great color also. I don’t think you will notice much of a difference between the two. I’m in agreement with a previous commenter in wishing for two tone paint on Silverados. Similar to the Trailblazers and new Equinoxes would be nice.

  4. Disappointed for sure love 3 of the 4 they are getting rid of😩 combined this with losing Midnight Edition in the LT trim level
Maybe they are trying to eliminate our choices

  5. Does it really matter anymore? They never have any of these colors in stock , and who wants to wait a year to only find out they’ve cancelled your order ?We bought a new Silverado in February, wanted the blue. Well, every dealership had only two colors in stock, black or white. We ended up with black, which I really didn’t want as we already have a black 2012 Colorado. We ended up getting the Silverado because you couldn’t get a Colorado or Canyon at that time. Honestly it’s been a good truck so far but it’s a lot bigger than what we really need. I’m getting more disgusted with GM with each passing year. Nothing is ever available and everything has issues out of the gate that should be remedied before production. Actually GM isn’t alone in this. We traded a piece of junk 2024 Jeep Wrangler in on the Silverado because at 6000 miles, it had been in the shop for brake issues and a blown head gasket. That was the final straw. Four months old and a blown head gasket. Like I’d ever trust any Jeep ever again.

    1. I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee that leaked…a lot…every time it rained. Dealer couldn’t fix it…the Jeep 800 Customer Service number told me “Jeep doesn’t guarantee that they don’t leak.”
Later had a broken windshield. Replaced the windshield and it quit leaking. Haven’t been back on a Jeep lot since. Went to GM and have had been a loyal customer for 35 years.

    2. For several years there’s been a false mindset that black, white and silver have the highest resale values, so dealerships stock those colours as the primary movers. Other colours typically cost a $495 premium.

I used to work as a technician at the dealership where I bought my blue ’23 Sierra and told the manager that I’d only buy a truck, if they had some blue and red on the lot to road test and choose from.

He told me that customers nearly always want black, white and silver, but ordered in 5 trucks for stock, 3 blue, 2 red based on some builds which should sell well.

1 red truck sold before I had a chance to got the dealership after work. I drove the others and selected the blue Sierra. The others sold days later.

      1. Yup, blue and red are what I buy as well. Had plenty of white in the past but never had black or silver.

The popular colors on Silverados don’t stay on the dealers lots very long. From what I understand there were no constraints on colors this model year. Remember, two thirds of production are built in Canada and Mexico.
Colorados and Canyons had and continue to have logistic issues. Also, many that were built were hit with a hailstorm back in March.
GM will not ship these trucks to their dealers in that condition. The odd folks around Wentzville are the only folks making out on this deal.

    1. About half of Silverados are built in Ft. Wayne, IN. Have been for years.

  7. GM has gotten pretty sorry. Can’t even get pearl white on LT, only on LTZ, High Country. Total bs but auto mfg don’t care. They do as they please and if it fails the American taxpayers take care of it compliments of the govt. Overpriced crap. All of them! More money and less product, quality.

  8. sad to see glacier blue go but I can’t complain too much considering they’re adding riptide blue!

  9. I won’t lie here, I’m actually really excited for Cypress Gray! It’s more green than anything and I think fans of the Silverado would really enjoy this nice hue on their future truck!

    1. Bring back Lazer Blue Metalic, 2017 Colorado had it and so many compliments every where I went.

      1. Lazer Blue Metallic looked great on those.

My ’03 Z24 is in Arrival Blue Metallic and looked great until the clear coat began flaking away when it turned 20 years old.

The Dynamic Blue Metallic on my ’23 Elevation gives nice definition to the body lines.

Every vehicle model tends to have some colours that suit them better than others. A colour that looks great on one model, looks yuck on another.
