The 2024 Buick Envision debuts the fourth model year for the compact crossover’s second-generation, introducing mid-cycle update (otherwise known as a refresh) complete with a variety of updates and changes. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the 2024 Buick Envision with the following pricing breakdown.
Customers will once again have three trim levels to choose from, although the trim level lineup differs from that of the 2023 model year. The 2024 Envision trim level lineup starts with the Preferred trim, followed by the Sport Touring, and topped by the Avenir. The 2023 Buick Envision lineup includes the Preferred, Essence, and Avenir trims.
Pricing for the 2024 Envision Preferred trim starts at $37,295, while pricing for the 2024 Envision Sport Touring trim starts at $39,795. Pricing for the range-topping 2024 Envision Avenir trim starts at $48,395. Note that all of the prices listed here include destination freight charge, which is set at $1,395.
Trim Level | Drivetrain | 2024 MSRP + DFC |
---|---|---|
Preferred | AWD | $37,295 |
Sport Touring | AWD | $39,795 |
Avenir | AWD | $48,395 |
It’s also worth noting that the U.S.-spec 2024 Buick Envision now features all-wheel-drive as standard across the line, whereas previously, the crossover was equipped with front-wheel-drive as standard for the 2023 model year, with all-wheel-drive offered as optional.
The 2024-model-year refresh includes a bevy of updates for the crossover, with new exterior styling, new interior amenities, and new safety features as well. GM Authority already provided a full breakdown of the 2024 Envision’s standard and available safety features, comparing the list to that of the 2023 Buick Envision, so check out that post for more information.
Unfortunately, the 2024 Envision will not offer the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous driver assist system as originally expected due to unspecified constraints.
The 2024 Buick Envision is now slated to begin production in Q1 of the 2024 calendar year, which is actually sooner than expected. The crossover was previously expected to be delayed until later in the year.
As a reminder, the 2024 Buick Envision cradles the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, while the GM E2 platform provides the underpinnings. Production will take place at the GM China SAIC-GM Jinqiao South plant.

For whatever crazy reason, I’ve grown accustomed to this front end on the GX and Envista but just can’t stomach it on this. I hope the new Enclave isn’t even worse. Must have to do with vehicle size, I guess.
I’d just be happy that they bring a new Enclave to market. This generation Enclave is sad and boring compared to the original.
That’s interesting. I’m feeling just the opposite. Whereas I didn’t think the new front end design worked on the smaller models, I feel it is more suited to these sizes and the Enclave.
Not to say I like it yet, just that it fits more on a larger scale in my eyes. Cheers 🍻
My local GMC-Buick dealer just took down the Buick sign.
Guess they are one of many that took the buyout.
It is my understanding that they lost a large amount of dealership BECASUE OF THE “EV” DEAL!!!!
We love our ’21 Avenir but wish it had rainsense wipers as it states in my owner’s manual (like the 2014 Encore we traded up from). It’s sounds small but every time it rains I’m like… “well this is worse”. I’m under the impression that ’22 & ’23 models lost the massage seats & air ionizer (possibly other features… always because of “supply chain issues” (heated seats, stearing wheel, etc). If you can’t make the car as intended, don’t make it. Luckily since I bought a used ’21 (made before the chip shortages) my car has all it’s features aside from the rainsense wiers. I was getting pretty interested in the ’24 because of super cruise (despite the added monthly cost which is maddening).
Now no super cruise? Eh… let’s wait, not much of an upgrade to trade my car plus another $20k just to get into a ’24 with similar features (possibly less) and a different grille.
Are they still going to have Apple Carplay? There’s another GM misstep in my opinion. Seems like prices go up, features go down.
I wish that all “BUICK’S” were build in “AMERICA”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have a ‘21 Envision Essence and it has rain sense wipers. Maybe it’s part of an option package.
Sport Touring AWD $39,795
Avenir AWD $48,395
Almost 10k jump how much better can it be with same engine? I get it had fancy leatherish interior but gotta be more than that ? Just comes with everything ?
When I first saw the new prices I thought they were a misprint
I can understand it being higher than a chevy equinox but doesn’t deserve to be higher than GMC Terrain.
Higher cost for Chinese labor???
As you noted maybe there are no options – just loaded at each trim level
That new nose doesn’t translate very well to this thing vs. the rest of the line up. It’s kind of pricy higher up too.
The 2023 Avenir model did not have blind spot monitors. Is the 2024 going to have this feature again? I have a 2020 Envision Preferred and its a great car.

I know the early build 2023 Buick Envisions lost some safety features due to the component supply situation. But the late 2023 Avenir’s seem to have all the safety features such as:
DEPARTURE WARNING
– REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT
– LANE CHANGE ALERT WITH SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT
Is the Blind Spot Monitor you reference different from this list taken from a 2023 Avenir Window Sticker in stock at my local dealer?
$50,000 for an Avenir trim with T & L? It looks like I’ll have to buy the most expensive 2025 Chevy Equinox.
Do the Buick models force buyers into the extra charge for OnStar? Just wondering. I didn’t know Super Cruise required a monthly fee. As a retiree I don’t drive enough miles per year to need or want to pay for those extra fees. I was seriously planning to purchase a 2024 Envison but I really don’t want to be forced into AWD. Maybe a Toyota is finally in my future.
Guess I’m still waiting for a GM w/ a 4 cyl that runs on 87 octane AND can be equipped with Super Cruise (the XT4 wants 91, WHY?!).
