The 2024 Chevy Trailblazer is receiving a mid-cycle refresh that will bring revised styling cues, an overhauled interior, and a bevy of new standard features. Now, GM Authority has learned of a minor styling change for the new model year, as the Activ trim level of the Bow Tie crossover will lose its skid plate bumper trim.
The 2024 Trailblazer Activ will no longer feature the faux front skid plate trim, as it will be replaced by a chrome piece that extends nearly the entire width of the lower front fascia. To help visualize what this may look like, be sure check out our video embedded below.
In case you missed it, here’s the lowdown on the revised 2024 Chevy Trailblazer. Starting with the exterior, the front fascia receives a thinner upper lighting arrangement, along with a new grille design. In fact, every single trim level – including LS, LT, Activ and RS – will boast its own unique front fascia.
Moving to the interior, the cabin has been overhauled and features an 11-inch diagonal center display, which is equipped as standard. An eight-inch diagonal Driver Information Center rounds out the screen setup, while standard safety features include Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, and Forward Collision Alert. Adaptive Cruise Control is optional.
In regard to powertrain specifications, not much has changed as compared to the pre-refreshed models. The 2024 Trailblazer will be powered by the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, as standard. Optional is the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine, rated at 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Units equipped with the LIH engine, as well as units with the L3T engine and a front-wheel drivetrain, will be mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while 1.3L engines with optional AWD will be mated to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission.
As for structure, the 2024 Trailblazer rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set, while production for the North American market will kick off in July 2023 at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.
