The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is definitely a lust-worthy vehicle, offering both decadent luxury and world-beating performance specs. Obviously, anyone lucky enough to buy a new Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will likely want to take good care of it the second it rolls off the factory line, including during shipping. Now, GM is offering 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing customers the option to specify their car be delivered in an enclosed shipping carrier.
GM Authority has confirmed with Cadillac that an enclosed shipping will be included as standard for all CT5-V Blackwing 120th Anniversary edition units, as well as offered as an optional upgrade for other units of the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing. The enclosed shipping carrier option is tagged with RPO code XES, with pricing varying depending on the distance between the factory and the dealership.
For those readers who may be unaware, the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing 120th Anniversary Edition debuted last month as a limited-production variant of the high-performance sedan, bearing a few unique touches as a nod to Cadillac’s 120th anniversary, including branded sill plates, a B-pillar-mounted builder’s plaque, and more. Production is limited to just 120 units.
As GM Authority covered previously, the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will delete four specific paint colors from the lineup, while adding in four new hues, including Maverick Noir Frost.
As a reminder, the 2023 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is motivated by the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, which is rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. Output is routed to the rear wheels via either the GM six-speed manual or the GM 10-speed automatic transmission. Under the body panels, the CT5-V Blackwing rides on the GM Alpha 2 platform. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
