The 2023 Corvette Z06 is equipped with a long list of go-faster performance bits and track-ready features, elevating the mid-engine C8 to a whole new level. Now, we’re taking a look at this particular 2023 Corvette Z06 captured out and about on real-world roads in the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.
The 2023 Corvette Z06 is available as both a Convertible and a Coupe, with this particular model being an example of the latter. What’s more, this new Vette is equipped with the Z07 package and everything that it entails, modifying the exterior with new carbon fiber components that are added on top of the wider, more-aggressive Z06-specific body. The exterior paint for this example is called Arctic White.
Check out our piece detailing the 2023 Corvette Z06’s Z07 Performance Package for more information on what it offers.
Up front, we spot the crossed-flags Corvette logo placed centrally on the nose, while several Z07-specific carbon fiber add-ons are present as well, including a larger front splitter and front-corner dive planes.
Moving to the sides, we spot a set of black-finished carbon fiber wheels, an optional upgrade only available with the Z07 package. The carbon wheels reduce unsprung mass by a whopping 41 pounds, and come wrapped in Michelin Sport Cup 2 R ZP tires. Unique FE7 suspension with Z07-specific Magnetic Ride Control keeps it shiny side up. Under the rollers we see the Z07 Performance Package carbon ceramic brake discs, measured at an upsized 15.7 inches up front and 15.4 inches in the rear, matched with red calipers.
Further profile details include unique Z06 badging below the wishbone side intake trim, while up top is a carbon fiber roof, with an underbody strake below.
The rear end is dominated by the large Z07 Package carbon fiber wing, while the rear Corvette script is finished in silver, rather than black. This particular example is also equipped with the pre-production outboard exhaust system.
As a reminder, the 2023 Corvette Z06 is motivated by the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine, which is rated at 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, spinning to a redline set at 8,600 rpm. Under the body panels, the new Corvette Z06 rides on the GM Y2 platform, with production taking place at the GM Bowling Green Assembly plant in Kentucky.
