As was first reported by GM Authority, the base 2 trim was cancelled before ever reaching production.
Production
Production of the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV began at the GM Factory Zero Plant, previously known as the GM Detroit-Hamtramck plant, in Michigan on January 30th, 2023 and ended on May 31st, 2024. Only the Edition 1 of the 2024 Hummer EV SUV – which is a 3X trim with a unique package – was produced at the start of regular production (SORP), while the 2X and 3X trim levels entered production thereafter.
