The Cadillac Escalade IQL is an upcoming variant of the Cadillac Escalade IQ that will be longer and more spacious. As one might expect, the “L” in IQL stands for “long”.
The Escalade IQL will be the fifth battery electric vehicle (BEV) from Cadillac, following the Lyriq, Celestiq, Escalade IQ and Optiq.

First Generation
We expect the first generation Cadillac Escalade IQL to launch in 2025 as a 2026 model year vehicle. Here’s what we expect from the first-gen Escalade IQL:
- Based on the long-wheelbase variant of GM BT1 platform
- Powered by GM Ultium battery with up to 24 modules
- Two GM Ultium Drive motor configurations, with AWD standard on all trim levels
- Around 450 mile driving range per single charge
- Lower ride height and slightly smaller exterior dimensions compared to fifth-generation Escalade (internal combustion engine model)
- Rear wheel steer for better handling and maneuverability
- Three-row seating configurations, with more interior room in the third row and more cargo capacity than the regular-length Escalade IQ
- Available 24-inch wheels
- Pillar-to-pillar display in the cockpit
- Super Cruise standard, Ultra Cruise available
- Starting around $150,000 USD
As GM Authority was first to report, GM filed to trademark Escalade IQL in November 2021. In August, GM debuted the regular-length Escalade IQ.
