Exterior

The 2025 Cadillac Celestiq’s fastback profile is the first of its kind for the luxury marque, is inspired by iconic models such as the 1933 V16 Aerodynamic Coupe and the 1957 Eldorado Brougham.

“It’s a progressive vision of Cadillac exterior design language that breaks from the norm of the ultra-luxury paradigms,” said Taki Karras, exterior design manager, CELESTIQ. “Every element and every surface was pushed to the next level with meticulous detailing, delivering a visionary design that is unique and breathtaking.”

Another standout feature of the Celestiq is its distinctive styling, which includes an all-aluminum grille. Every metal surface visible on the vehicle’s exterior is genuine metal, such as the aluminum grille, brushed aluminum bodyside, aluminum eTrunk lining, rocker, taillamp and headlamp trim, and brushed metal liftgate body openings.

Interior

With a clean, minimalist aesthetic, the interior cabin showcases a variety of materials and color options. Hand-wrapped materials, immersive interior lighting, and embellishments chosen by the client embody Cadillac’s vision for exclusivity and customization.

“With Celestiq, we’ve been able to push classic American luxury into a new modern space,” said Tristan Murphy, interior design manager, Celestiq. “Executed with exceptional craftmanship, there is a staggering variety of colors, trims and genuine materials that ensure no two vehicles will ever be alike.”

The Celestiq also has 115 3D printed parts in the production vehicle with the seat belt adjustable guide loop being GM’s first safety-related 3D printed part.

Technology

The centerpiece of the interior and the Celestiq technology interface is a pillar-to-pillar, 55-inch-diagonal advanced HD display which is the largest in the segment. It contains two separate screens under a single pane of glass with a pixel density comparable to 8K.

The Celestiq will also introduce a new connected camera platform. This platform will provide clients with access to interior and exterior cameras through a mobile interface, along with theft detection and crash recording.

Celestiq also boasts a next-gen technological feature that is truly unique: an all-glass roof panel, which is the largest in the industry, That deploys Suspended Particle Device technology, allowing for variable transmission. This means that the passenger can control the amount of light that enters the vehicle in four different zones, with one zone for each passenger area.

Powertrain

The 2025 Cadillac Celestiq will come with a 111 kWh Ultium battery lithium-ion battery pack and dual Ultium Drive electric motors producing 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque.

The setup will provide a GM-estimated driving range of roughly 300 miles or 480 kilometers. Charging at a rate of 200 kW at a DC fast-charging station adds an estimated 78 miles of range every 10 minutes.

Efficiency technologies, such as Regenerative Braking, help to maximize driving miles in between charges. Additionally, the 2025 Celestiq will offer next-generation Regen On Demand and a One-Pedal driving system.

Performance

The Celestiq’s battery cells are placed horizontally, giving the vehicle its long, low, and sleek proportions. The low position of the pack lowers the vehicle’s center of gravity, improving handling and ride comfort.

The 2025 Celestiq includes Adaptive Air Suspension, Active Rear Steering allowing up to 3.5 degrees of out-of-phase rear steering, Magnetic Ride Control 4.0, Advanced AWD, Active Roll Control, and an Active Rear Spoiler.

“Celestiq offers responsiveness and athleticism typically associated with smaller performance vehicles,” said Tony Roma, Celestiq chief engineer. “We have incorporated Cadillac’s expertise developing advanced chassis and suspension systems into an entirely new experience for the client.”

Platform

The 2025 Cadillac Celestiq will be built upon the BEV3 platform, which is a skateboard-type architecture that will be utilized by multiple EVs. Fittingly, the BEV3 stands for “Battery Electric Vehicle 3” and the architecture replaces the BEV2 platform.

Notably, the BEV3 is also expected to underpin the upcoming Cadillac Celestiq.

Availability

The 2025 Cadillac Celestiq concept made its debut in late July of 2022, bearing a starting price of $300,000 USD.

Production began in January 2024 with only 500 being produced each year.
