2025 Corvette Z06 Gets Revised Fuel Economy Ratings

The 2025 model year introduces a number of updates and changes for the mid-engine C8 Corvette, including new paint options and new wheel options, among a few other tweaks. Not only that, but the 2025 Corvette Z06 also receives slightly updated fuel economy ratings. Notably, the 2025 Z06 gets a revised gas guzzler tax, as well.

The 2025 Corvette Z06 introduces a few important updates, including new fuel economy ratings.

The 2025 Corvette Z06 is rated at 12 mpg in the city, 20 mpg on the highway, and 14 mpg combined without a Carbon Aero package. Compared to the preceding 2024 model year, the 2025 Z06 returns one fewer mpg on the highway and one fewer mpg combined.

The gas guzzler tax is different for the 2025 model year as well. Previously, the 2024 Corvette Z06 was hit with a $2,600 gas guzzler tax without the Carbon Aero package equipped, and a $3,000 gas guzzler tax with the Carbon Aero package equipped. Now, all 2025-model-year Corvette Z06 models are subject to a $3,000 gas guzzler tax, regardless of whether or not the model in question is equipped with a Carbon Aero package.

Meanwhile, mpg estimates for the 2025 Z06 with the Carbon Aero are identical to estimates for the 2024 model year, set at 12 mpg city, 19 mpg highway, and 14 mpg combined. Fuel economy ratings for the C8 Stingray and C8 E-Ray are also identical between the 2024 and 2025 model years.

Check out the table below for more information on the 2025 Corvette fuel economy ratings:

  4. 12 mpg city is comical. You’d think with DOHC and 8 automatic gears they could squeeze at least 15

  6. You know, the base corvette is a bargain. A ZO6 is $43,800 more than a base vette. That’s a lot of dough for an engine and wider rear body panels.
