In addition to the recent introduction of Cadillac’s all-electric business in Australia and its gradual rollout in Europe, the all-new Cadillac Optiq will expand the brand into new international markets.
General Motors’ luxury brand officially announced that the all-new Cadillac Optiq will have a global presence and will be sold in “more than 10 regions” or markets around the world, resulting in the introduction of Cadillac to new markets. As such, the zero-emission compact crossover represents a key piece in the American brand’s globalization strategy through its growing EV portfolio.
In particular, the European debut of the 2025 Cadillac Optiq in Paris was a strategic platform to showcase the potential of the iconic American luxury brand and its electric crossover in new markets around the world. In addition to cementing France as the brand’s new core market for its EV business in Europe, GM used the event to confirm that Cadillac will launch this year in the United Kingdom and also presented the Optiq to the Brazilian public.
Cadillac currently has an official presence in five sub-regions of the world, selling its vehicles in the United States, China, Canada, Mexico and the Middle East, along with with minimal participation in South Korea, Japan and some European countries. The arrival of the Cadillac Optiq will strengthen its current base and accelerate the brand’s launch in Australia and New Zealand, in the largest markets of Europe and even enter new sub-regions of the American continent.
In fact, the new Cadillac Europe team has a global focus and works closely with GM’s top global leadership to drive the brand’s expansion into new markets from the all-new Cadillac City Paris Experience Center. The strategic goal of the space is to attract as many potential customers and partners as possible to the brand from around the world, including new international markets with growth potential.
The all-new Cadillac Optiq is now on sale in China and will arrive in the United States later this year, followed by Canada and other international markets including the United Kingdom. During calendar year 2025, the Optiq will continue to expand its global reach by entering more European markets, Australia and New Zealand, the Middle East, Japan, as well as new international markets for the brand such as Central America and very possibly Brazil.

I give Cadillac credit for trying. EVs are new and new markets might want this. Make it global and sell as many as possible.
Strange sequence: ” United States, China, Canada, Mexico and the Middle East”
Logical would be:
1. North America with Canada, USA and Mexico
2. China
3. “Middle East” i.e. the Arab East.
Europe seems to come much later…
I like this Cadillac Optiq very much, so I am saving a large down payment to buy one for my wife this December. I know that it is similar to the Chevy Equinox EV, but I have not seen one at any Chevy dealer yet to get a “preview”.
BTW, ignore the negative votes being given here. I know that they are naysayers against EVs. They cannot afford any Cadillac EVs, so they post those negative votes.
You have my thumbs up vote. If you like it and can afford it, why not.
Awaiting the test-drive video.
