As GM Authority reported a couple of weeks ago, the brand-new Cadillac City Paris has just opened its doors as the brand’s flagship EV store in France.
General Motors’ luxury brand officially announced the opening of the brand-new Cadillac City Paris Experience Center, the brand’s first permanent lifestyle location in France that will play a strategic role in promoting Cadillac’s new all-electric business to audiences in Europe and around the world. Cadillac City Paris is the new flagship store in the region that showcases the design, craftsmanship and iconic technology of the all-new Cadillac EVs.
“Cadillac is indelibly linked to French culture and heritage, so it was only natural that we opened our flagship Cadillac City experience center in the heart of Paris,” said President and Managing Director of GM Europe, Jaclyn McQuaid. “Cadillac City Paris is symbolic of our ambition in Paris, which is to support in the zero-emissions future while upholding our dedication to craftsmanship, design and innovation,” she added.
The brand-new Cadillac City Paris is located in front of the French capital’s iconic Opera Garnier and was carefully designed to highlight the advanced innovation of the brand’s electric vehicle portfolio. At the same time, the new facility will foster meaningful connections with customers and uphold Cadillac’s historic roots, which the brand claims have more than just a passing homage to French history and culture.
Located on the first two levels of a classic building designed by the famous French architect Charles Rohault de Fleury, the Cadillac City Paris welcomes visitors through a long hallway that immerses them in the world of Cadillac by evoking the brand’s connection to the music and movies while showing its deep dedication to design. The Cadillac Lyriq and the all-new Cadillac Optiq – which debuted in Paris – are the main stars of the place and adorn the ground floor of the space.
Meanwhile, the second floor of the Cadillac City Paris is for individual conversations, vehicle customization and family consultations before making the final decision. The mezzanine is divided into lounge areas, a private consultation room and a play area, with automotive-themed digital games to keep the kids entertained. Also, it adorned by a scale clay model of the Cadillac Lyriq that highlights its sculptural design.
The brand-new Cadillac City Paris was inaugurated on May 29th along with the European debut of the all-new Cadillac Optiq, and is open to the general public from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with extended hours on Thursdays when it will remain open until 9:00 PM. Cadillac’s new flagship store aims for locals visitors, and visitors from around the world, to connect with the brand and experience its vision of the all-electric future.

…and will close quickly after the Olympics are over.
What a colossal waste of resources in a place they probably don’t sell more that 10 cars a year. Wait, I looked it up. It’s less than FOUR.
For France;
Revenue for Cadillac is projected to reach US$202k in 2024.
Revenue is expected to show an annual growth rate (CAGR 2024-2028) of 7.44%, resulting in a projected market volume of US$269k by 2028.
Cadillac unit sales are expected to reach 4.0 vehicles in 2028.
Glass half full, it seems a really nice place for the homeless refugees to camp in front of.
What did you want them to do? Stay relying on China only and the US? That market can’t be taken for granted at this point and may not stick around forever as the Chinese consumers are turning to homegrown brands now and they keep losing market share (as shown in recent data). GM needs to diversify whether they like it or not. Of course with that diversification they need to compliment it with competitive products. But tomorrow the US-China relationship can sour for the worse and they lose that market entirely and GM will be left with nothing more than just the US market which is saturated with European brands and Tesla. The Chinese brands are expanding globally themselves as they have no choice to in order to maintain growth and GM should try to do the same.
They don’t want them to do anything really.
They just want to complain and/or make knowingly unrealistic demands.
Anything to justify their hatred for you know who.
GM must get back into the European market. It once thrived, and the Koreans do very well on the old continent. GM quality is better than VW/Skoda/Ford/Kia/Hyandai.
GM is one invasion of Taiwan away from destruction. I do think Chevrolet is too damaged for Europe and that Buick, with it’s nicely designed Chinese EVs, should be the main brand positioned against VW and Peugeot.

I dont have the numbers for France (I would have to ask in another Web forum), but for Germany I have these figures:
ESCALADE 14 50
XT4 4 10
OTHER – 1
Total 18 61
first column is April 2024, the second column January to April 2024
The sales figures for France can’t be too different.
This time Cadillac may actually be able to carve a niche in Europe – the vehicles now are much more generic sadly for me though appearing to lose their American uniqueness . As Europe is about to get an onslaught of Chinese electric motors Cadillac may just be able to stand out a little from the crowd in the luxury segments . I wish them well and so glad they coming back to the UK with RHD as well.
Paris, the city of the world leading luxury industry, is the right place for Cadillac, which is meant to be a luxury brand.
And note that Cadillac is originally a french name or word.
As all words ending in “llac”.
