2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 Is Available In Only One Color

General Motors is now launching all-electric versions of its most popular pickup nameplates, and that includes the new GMC Sierra EV. The first production-spec variant of the Sierra EV set to roll off the line will be the range-topping 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, which was offered via reservation immediately after the battery-driven pickup’s reveal in 2022. Critically, the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 is only available in one specific paint color.

The 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 is only available in Thunderstorm Gray, which is tagged with paint code GNO. Thunderstorm Gray is the same hue we’ve seen previously in debut photos and spy photos, giving the all-electric pickup truck a sleek, relatively understated look compared to the hard lines and geometric shapes used underneath the paint. The Denali Edition 1’s Thunderstorm Gray exterior is matched with a black interior colorway called After Dark.

As GM Authority covered previously, dealers are now taking orders for the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1. The pickup was initially scheduled for a release early in 2024, but is now on track to launch this Summer as the result of a delay put in place as GM worked through software optimization for several of its EV models.

Immediately following the debut of the GMC Sierra EV in 2022, GM announced that 20,000 customers had added their name to the waitlist to order one. Reservations for the Edition 1 filled in just 15 minutes.

As a reminder, the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 features GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive Motors, with upwards of 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque available in Max Power mode, sending the pickup to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds. Range-per-charge is estimated at 400 miles.

The GM BT1 platform provides the underpinnings, while production is expected to initially take place at the GM Factory Zero plant.

  1. I drove the Blazer EV, and I have to tell you, These GM EVs are excellent if the Blazer EV is anything to go by. However, a GMC like this one is going to cost you a kidney

  4. You folks at GM are making Rivian look like the only game in town. Between dealer markups and only one color it looks like you got ran over by a Hummer! Super high cost, no availability and nowhere to charge it. Either get this truck market with lower cost and better availability or stick with ICE do one thing and do it well Please!

  5. This happened once before with the Grand National. Get it in any colour you want, as long as it’s black.
