Officially breaking cover in October of last year, the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 drops in as the range-topper in the all-electric GMC Sierra EV lineup, offering impressive specs and technology, all without a tailpipe. So far, we’ve seen the GMC Sierra EV as a prototype, in official press photos, and in near-showroom-ready form out in the real world. Now, we’re checking out the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 as it plies the public roadways in an attractive shade of gray.
Although the exact name of this paint color is not yet known, it certainly looks nice on the body panels of the all-electric GMC Sierra EV. Matched with the black detailing and polished trim, the color works well with the overcast Michigan skies.
Up front, we see the Sierra EV’s characteristic aero-friendly fascia design, with a large, blocked-off “grille” and black lower bumper. The trim around the grille is bright silver, while one of the panels in the lower bumper is matched to the rest of the body. Front-end lighting includes L-shaped upper signatures and square-shaped lower lighting elements. The GMC badge is finished in black and ringed in silver.
Moving into the sides, the profile of this 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 shows black trim around the windows, as well as black mirror caps. The door handles are matched to the rest of the body, while the Denali badge lower in the door is backed in black and presents polished silver lettering. Two-tone wheels roll in the corners, showing more silver and black coloring. Silver trim is seen on the step-ups as well.
In back, we see L-shaped taillight graphics that seem to mirror the front lighting signatures, with black housings and a black bumper as well. Interestingly, the rear GMC badge is red, rather than black like the front badge.
With regard to specs, the GMC Sierra EV provides an estimated 400 miles of range per charge, with output rated at 754 horsepower and 758 pound-feet of torque thanks to a set of GM Ultium Drive motors. Juice is provided by a GM Ultium battery pack that can recharge with 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes. The GM BT1 platform provides the underpinnings. Production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant, while the GM Lake Orion plant will produce additional units in the future.
Per previous GM Authority coverage, reservations for the GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 filled in just 15 minutes.

That’s nice primer, now where’s the paint?
…looks like they left the “paper” covering the grill / headlamps to protect them from overspray.
still has the double floor to house the batteries. looks so bloated. better than the hummer at least.
How is it really any different than the frame a truck would normally be sitting on?
A frame here is redundant. The truck must have a battery bay. The battery bay is also structural. Adding a frame would also add weight as well as aerodynamic drag. It is no accident that the Ford Lightning has so much less range than the Silverado EV and Sierra EV.
Agreed. My point was the poster mentioning the double floor making it look bloated.
Honda Ridgeline looks better.
Sure would have been nice to know back in Oct 22 that color choice would not be an option. Silverish yes but a dull gray how cheap.
Lol is right, battery frame is much bigger. It would look better if the sheet metal covered more of the battery frame/sides.
To me that is the best looking pickup Truck ever
Looks futuristic and menacing. Great job by the GM Design team.
Looks better then the Rivian I saw drive by the other day.
Is that a color or just dirt?
If you don’t like the gray as shown on the truck in the photographs, then you may choose from several other colors. If it is the truck itself that you don’t like, then you may choose a different brand truck. Both choices are permitted.
Ive always thought the GMC trucks were nice looking. Glad to see that continue with their new EV model. Good job GMC.
“the color works well with the overcast Michigan skies.” … “or on your way to the cemetery in rainy Seattle.”
Ad copy …. or an excerpt from ‘War and Peace’ ?
In the context of folk not accepting EV trucks….
“We’re not willing, let them ruin us! We don’t take your grain, we’re not in agreement!”
How many truck buyers will pay for 754 horse power?
Looks much better than the new electric avalanche……….I mean Silverado..
The best looking pickup has arrived.
I believe the color shown is Thunderstorm. Code GNO.
💩 🎀
…But it identifies as a truck.
