The 2024 Chevy Colorado introduces the second model year of the midsize pickup’s third generation, ushering in a variety of updates and changes over the all-new 2023 model year. Among these is a new Sports Bar Package, and now, GM Authority is serving up all the details right here.
The new Sports Bar Package for the 2024 Chevy Colorado is tagged with RPO code PCK, and is available for the 2024 Chevy Colorado Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2 trim levels. The package is not offered for WT or LT trims.
The package is offered as an LPO-level option, which means it is installed by the dealer, rather than at the factory when the vehicle is initially produced. The Sports Bar Package includes the following content (relevant RPO codes listed in parentheses):
- Bed-mounted sport bar (SBY)
- 40-inch Off Road Roof Light Bar (S3X)
Pricing is set at $2,820. The package requires choosing the Accessory switch kit (VZJ) and Power Distribution Box (VBP), which add $945 to the price.
As already mentioned, the 2024 Chevy Colorado ushers in a variety of updates and changes over the initial 2023 model year, including a revised engine lineup, with the mid-range turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B Turbo Plus gasoline engine (310 horsepower, 391 pound-feet of torque) no longer available. As such, the 2024 model year offers only two engine options, namely the Turbo 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine (237 horsepower, 260 pound-feet of torque) and the TurboMax 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine (310 horsepower, 430 pound-feet of torque).
All engine options connect to the second-generation GM eight-speed automatic transmission.
Further updates for the 2024 model year include discontinuation of the eight-inch Driver Information Center / gauge cluster (RPO code URO) in favor of the larger 11-inch Driver Information Center (RPO code URF), the latter of which is now included as standard across the range, as GM Authority was the first to report. The 2024 model year also introduces the new ZR2 Bison Edition (RPO code ULV), which adds a bevy of equipment from the off-road specialists at American Expedition Vehicles (AEV).

Will this sport bar fit a 2025? It will take that long to get a truck to fit the bar!
4 Banger in a ZR2, GM you blew it…………………
Sells will drop. You should have left the V6 in it.
That 2.7 outperforms the old car V6 in everyway. 200lbft more torque at a much lower rpm, lol are you nuts?
It’s not like losing a V8 that sounds good. Both the i4 and V6 sound like crap and neither can be helped with an exhaust.
The hot engine on the old ZR2 was a 4 cylinder as well, the Duramax. Which this new 2.7 outperforms at lower operating cost, only sacrificing mpg but you’ll never net a cost savings with that old diesel
Stealth DT44 Turbo, 280HP not too shabby for Duramax 4 banger.
So they blew it by your standards but they can’t keep them in stock. So I guess they know more than you do. Oh by the way toyota and Ford all went to 4 Banger except on the raptor. Nissan only one that has a V6 and Gm’s easily out powers it.
What is V6 speed as good as a four-cylinder?
Would rather have an extended cab. Keep the dumb bar.
Flunk the V-6, and the laughable turbo-4 . Go back to the LS3, sales will go back up! Truck guys don’t want wimpy 4 bangers!
Sports Bar? Does it have buffalo wings and a trivia night?
