Here Are The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV 2LT AWD, RS AWD Horsepower And Torque Figures

The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV got its big debut in July of the 2022 calendar year, introducing a brand-new all-electric iteration of the popular crossover. For the moment, just two trim levels are accessible on the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV’s official online configurator, specifically the 2LT AWD and RS AWD. However, critical information for both models is now out in the wild, specifically the official horsepower and torque figures.

According to the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV’s official online configurator, the 2LT and RS AWD both produce a maximum of 288 horsepower and 333 pound-feet of torque. Both are equipped with identical powertrains, with a two-motor GM Ultium Drive setup (RPO code XRD) and an 85 kWh GM Ultium battery pack (RPO code EC5). Both also have an EPA-estimated range-per-charge of 279 miles. All Chevy Blazer EV variants ride on the GM BEV3 platform.

As GM Authority covered previously, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV LT AWD and RS AWD return energy efficiency ratings of 108 MPGe in the city, 88 MPGe on the highway, and 96 MPGe combined. MPGe, or miles per gallon of gasoline-equivalent, is a metric developed by the EPA that evaluates the amount of energy a vehicle consumes per mile, allowing easy comparison between electric energy usage in an EV and gasoline usage in an ICE-powered vehicle. The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV LT AWD and RS AWD also have a combined energy efficiency of 35 kWh per 100 miles, with 9.5 hours required to charge up when plugged into a 240V electricity source.

  2. Wow, The Blazer EV 2LT and RS AWD get only 288hp, that seems ridiculously low for an AWD. The Mustang Mach-E Extended Range RWD gets more than that!

  3. “estimated range-per-charge of 279 miles.” ? That means about 220 at 80mph and maybe 230 at 70 mph. Really not very efficient with a 85kwh pack. Didn’t they say these were going to get 300 miles of range? The price of 56K seems reasonable if it actually got over 300 miles of range so you get 300 miles at 70mph. Model Y LR gets 330mi EPA 52K with delivery and real world 290ish at 70mph and a 280ish at 80mph. You also get no worries about charging while traveling.
    I like the practical look of the Chevy though. The extra 7K high price is pretty off putting. Originally this was estimated at 47K. That would make a HUGE difference.

    1. The Lyriq exceeds its EPA range on the 70mph test, so there’s no reason to believe the Blazer EV won’t do the same. The lower-end Blazers use an induction motor for AWD so they’re more efficient than most AWD setups.

      1. You know if the full tax credit will apply to any EV from GM? The Lyriq tested has a 100Kwh pack. Blazer has 15% less than and it looks a less more aero than the Lyriq. None of that is meant to be a swipe. I actually really LOVE both cars but the price points are 10 to 15K more than I would even entertain. If the 2LT came in at 47K and they got the actual range at 70mph they could have a real competitor for Tesla. At 57K they are in a different price point. So I am not sure they will fair well there. The established Mach E California, Polestar 2 and gv60 come quickly to mind. I don’t think it would fair well in that space

        1. Rwd Lyriq tech has much more HP (at least 341), and has 102 vs 85 kwh battery for $1,600 less in the wny area. Why would anyone buy a blazer ev Chevy at these inflated prices?

          2. The tech Lyriq is missing a lot of options the Blazer EV has. Also, the Tech Lyriq isn’t selling well for Cadillac because people who want a Cadillac want features, not a base-level car. There’s a good chance it will be dropped from Cadillac’s lineup. If you want a Tech Lyriq I can point to 5 at my local Cadillac dealer. It only existed to get the original tax credit before the Lyriq was classified as an SUV with a $80k limit.

              Seeing as I bought a LYRIQ and you bought neither a LYRIQ or BLAZER EV, and seeing as I will be given a J.D. Power Survey of what I think – its rather obvious that GM cares more about what I think.

              What I think is, I’d love the basic vehicle with far, far less gobbledygook than even the LYRIQ TECH trim has…..

              The only advantage my 2023 LUXURY LYRIQ has, besides the price $10,000 less than an equivalent 2024 model, is that I should recoup it on resale since it has all the bells and whistles.

              If people are dumb enough to want all that crap in the future, I’ve got just the car ready for them in a few years.

              1. Well my Lux 3 AWD Opulent Blue with status of 4104 is waiting to be shipped. And I get $5k off of mine because I was an May18th 2022 order. 7th in line at my dealer. I’m on the manifest.

                1. Good for you! The 5k incentive most know nothing about, as dealers are afraid to tell them in case it falls though if the UAW strike goes too long. Dec. 1, 2023, is the cut off.

                  Also, dependent upon your state the EPA offers a 4k EV incentive while monies for that segment last and you take delivery & fill out the forms 90 days before or after 11/1/23.

                  This is hard cash not like the 7500.00 tax incentive which some may use or not… Google is your friend in this… I have the opulent blue Sport 3 in allocation process that the dealer said would be 8 weeks 3 weeks ago. So, now I await an email about the 1500.00 Qumeric install AC wiring incentive and the car but the UAW strike…

  6. They’re shutting the CAMI plant that makes the Bright Drop vans until SPRING 2024 due to lack of batteries. Anyone else see a problem with raw materials for batteries?

    1. You must not have read the story completely. This has nothing to do with the availability of the battery cells (i.e. raw materials). The issue is the modules those cells go into. CAMI is being upgraded to build the modules for CAMI and other facilities.
