Just last month, Cadillac officially debuted the 2024 Cadillac XT4, which introduces a mid-cycle refresh full of goodies for the luxury crossover. Now, our photographers have captured the first images of the refreshed XT4 in the wilderness, and today, we’re taking a closer look in the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.
Right off the bat, this particular unit appears to be a Chinese-spec model, as it’s wearing an extra Chinese-market badge on the lower passenger-side of the liftgate (albeit covered in tape). Despite the peculiar badging situation, this 2024 XT4 is configured in the U.S.-market Luxury trim level, which serves as the entry-level XT4. Additionally, this luxury crossover is painted in Radiant Red Tintcoat (color code GNT).
Up front, we can clearly see the revised front fascia, which includes an updated grille design and a new set of LED headlights with signature lighting cues. Notably, the Cadillac badge, which is displayed front and center, is also mysteriously covered in vinyl tape.
Moving around to the side of this 2024 Cadillac XT4, we can spot the new 18-inch Tri Five-Spoke alloy wheels with a Bright Silver finish (RPO code PXG), which are standard on the Luxury trim level. Besides that, much of the side profile is carried over from the pre-refresh XT4.
Out back, the exhaust outlets are hidden under the rear lower valence. It’s worth noting that Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels feature dual through-fascia exhaust outlets with bright tips.
Although we can’t clearly see it in these photos, the interior of the 2024 Cadillac XT4 has also been overhauled, and now features a 33-inch, 9K-resolution LED color touchscreen. There is also an available 14-speaker audio system from AKG, 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto capability, while customers can choose from a few new interior colorways and trim choices.
In regard to powertrain, the 2024 XT4 will utilize the same turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine as the 2023 model, which is rated at 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Output is routed through the GM nine-speed automatic transmission, with both FWD and AWD available to put it to the ground. It’s worth noting that the Chinese-market XT4 is also equipped with the LSY engine, but paired with a mild hybrid system with 48V technology that adds electric assist, electric idle and regenerative braking, for an overall fuel consumption reduction of five to six percent.
As for structure, the XT4 rides on the GM E2 platform, while production of the refreshed model is scheduled to kick off next month at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City.

Really interesting how the headlamps are all one piece. I wonder what they look like removed from the vehicle. They’re probably massive. The bumper seems to do some visual trickery to them.
What’s interesting is that the car is so boring and drab, that with the badges and crests all covered up, it’s hard to believe it’s a Cadillac! (Gen Xer here!)
Had no clue from your username thanks for clarifying.
🙂
Touché!
I added the username after I typed the message…
I gave you a thumbs-up!
If they drop the color from all their badges, I’m done with Cadillac–after more than 50 years of my fandom (and their mismanagement).
Hey Ralph L this obviously a TEST VEHICLE… I think they cover up the badges so no one can say hey there goes a new Cadillac or maybe they are place holder badges, or maybe just maybe a TEST VEHICLE does not need badges. I wouldn’t worry about it because the current Equinox test vehicle has Chevy bow tie badges that are taped over or covered up as well
They need to paint the wheel well cladding really cheapens the cars looks and puts it with a KIA
No leave the black trim or make painting it an option I personally like the black trim are the wheel wells it breaks up all these almost flat sided SUVs . It could be worse they can make it baby bomber chrome!
