  1. What a WASTE of MONEY

    1. But what about the resale value fifty years from now when it rolls out on the Barrett Jackson or Mecum’s auction block? We have no idea what collectors may pay for a Realtree edition with the prediction that hunting may be banned by then.

      1. Who is predicting that hunting will be banned?

  2. Cool, but I’ll never buy a half ton. I’m sticking with my 3/4 and 1 tons.

    1. Chevys and GMCs only of course!

  3. You’ll spend $2600 to get the Realtree edition, but all you really get is some cheap graphics and all-weather mats? You could spend $500 on a bedliner, $300 to get the graphics installed by a local sign shop, and spend $200 on WeatherTech mats…and save $1600! What a waste of money. Just buy a regular truck and put money in it to make it yours.

    1. The real rip off on these special editions is that they aren’t eligible for most incentives. When GM is offering 10+k in incentives on some of their vehicles, it almost never includes the special editions. In effect these special editions cost 10-12k more assuming no dealership markup 🤦

    2. Well Tim, while yes you could probably buy similar aftermarket stuff included in the package and save a little money doing so. You have to remember that buying the stuff aftermarket and putting it on isn’t adding any value to the truck dealers only pay trade value based on what the vin shows the truck to have. So if saving money is the goal why buy any of the stuff to begin with.

And FYI I had a customer last month wanting this package and only wanted to use the real GM parts but on a LT Trailboss, it ended up costing 2400 in parts alone (truck already had factory bedliner) and that’s not including install so for what GM is charging for the package isn’t really that bad.

if you want to talk about things that are a ripoff go look at the pricing on upfitted trucks like the Black Widow or Rocky ridge trucks those are 20k to 40k on top of the MSRP.

  4. I don’t see the back of the pickup? Did they roll it off the line unfinished or something?

  5. The wheel wells don’t even have protection. It will be a rust bucket.

    1. Yeah, those rear wheel wells on GM trucks have been an issue for early onset rust for a while now. I wish they would fix it. And no, its not from folks not washing them out; its a design flaw.

  6. 50k for halogen lights. GM is losing their minds.

  7. Never heard of Real Tree.
I’m sorry, but I think that the rear end side graphics looks meaningless and butt ugly.
    And, they charge for that?

  8. I just bought one of these. If you don’t like the graphics it’s your choice. I personally think it looks badass. And it’s more than just stickers. The accents in the doors and the dash are camo. It just looks cool to me. I got the 6.2 engine and it’s a rocket. The Z71 package is great. For the price this truck is hard to beat. It looks like a $70k truck, but it isn’t even close to that. Hey, it beats the heck out of a plain white truck! I do have an issue with the rear wheel wells though. That is sub standard. Some spray-on bedliner and some $140 Husky Liners and problem solved though. You should not have to do that on a new truck, but that isn’t enough reason for me not to buy. The remedy is inexpensive and afterwards the truck is amazing for the price.
