Refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer RS: Live Photo Gallery

General Motors revealed the refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer earlier this month, showing off revisions to the exterior and interior. Now, GM Authority is getting up close and personal with the refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer RS in the following Live Photo Gallery.

Captured on the floor of the 2022 Chicago Auto Show held this past week, this particular 2023 Chevy Blazer is covered in Radiant Red Tintcoat, a new premium hue introduced with the latest 2023-model-year refresh. The refresh introduces several other new paint options, including Fountain Blue, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Copper Bronze Metallic.

The 2023 Chevy Blazer you see here is the RS trim level, once again offered as the sporty range-topper of the lineup alongside the elegant Chevy Blazer Premier. Outside, the 2023 Chevy Blazer features refreshed styling, starting with a new front fascia design. The front end is characterized by revised LED daytime running lamps, which stretch out across the upper corners of the front fascia and continue the outer edges of the grille.

The grille design is also new, with a larger hourglass shape sharpening the crossover’s nose. Lower in the fascia, forward illumination is provided by a set of new LED headlamps.

The profile of the 2023 Chevy Blazer is similar to that of the pre-refresh model, with chiseled midlines that emphasize the fenders, and an upswept window line that leads the eye rearwards. However, the 2023-model-year refresh also introduces new wheel designs, sized at 18 inches, 20 inches, and 21 inches in diameter.

Finally, the rear end sports a set of new LED taillamps, with the graphics deleting the Y-shaped “spear” look seen previously. The lower bumper incorporates integrated dual exhaust pipes and a faux diffuser.

As for the powertrain, the refreshed 2023 Chevy Blazer is once again available with two engine options, starting with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which produces 228 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque, and is equipped as standard on 2LT, 3LT, and Premier trim levels.

The 2023 Chevy Blazer also offers the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine, which produces 308 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, and is equipped as standard for the RS trim level, and offered as optional for 3LT and Premier trim levels. Both engines connect to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission.

Under the body panels, the Chevy Blazer rides on the GM C1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

  5. They should bring back the LF3 from the old XTS V-Sport into most of their CUV lineup. Of course update it so that it can take the 9 spd auto instead of housing the old 6 spd. Vehicle application should be the Blazer, Traverse, Envision, Enclave, Acadia, XT5, and XT6. They should have done it to the Regal Sportback GS. Allow it to truly live up to the GNX’s of yore. It would have allowed Cadillac to progress the CUV V lineup earlier than now. Chevy Blazer could compete with the Edge Sport. Traverse to better compete against the Durango and Exploror. They could have competed or been ahead of the game on some of the models. Like the Regal GS vs the Kia Stinger. For almost the same money, you could get a 3.3tt RWD/AWD sedan/sportback. But Buick gave us a 3.6 na AWD sedan/sportback.

    1. That’s not a Blazer! They should rebrand that suv and bring back the real 2 door Blazer just like Ford did with the Bronco!

  6. Wait, that’s a Blaz….. oh it says it right there on the door.

  7. They could do what Ford is going to do and name every thing Blazer like Ford has Bronco.

Look the name is used already and what is done is done. The name is the least important thing vs actually having a real off road competitor for the Bronco or Wrangler.
