This Is The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Edition

Anyone keen on using their pickup for hunting or fishing just got a new special edition Chevy built just for them. It’s called the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Edition, and it features exclusive content to give it that perfect outdoorsy feel.

Built in collaboration with outdoor lifestyle retailer Realtree, best known for its camouflage clothing and hunting/fishing accessories, the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Edition follows on the success of the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Edition. Standout features for the new truck include Realtree camouflage exterior graphics added to the rear and hood, black badging front to back, and a Realtree logo for the Bedliner.

In back, we also find black rectangular dual exhaust tips, while four-inch black round assist steps take up the flanks. Inside the cabin, there’s new door trim and all-weather floor liners.

“Having worked closely with Chevrolet all these years, it’s great to see the team come out with the new 2021 Silverado Realtree Edition using our latest Timber pattern,” said Realtree president and designer Bill Jordan.

The special edition pickup is based on the Chevrolet Silverado Custom Trail Boss trim level, and comes with all the same goodies, including a two-inch factory suspension lift, 20-inch wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT On-Off Road Tires, the Z71 Off-Road Package with monotube Rancho shocks, automatic locking rear differential, Hill Descent Control, AutoTrac two-speed transfer case, and protective underbody skid plates.

Standard spec for the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree edition includes the naturally aspirated 5.3L L82 V8 engine and six-speed automatic transmission. Alternatively, buyers can opt into the naturally aspirated 6.2L L87 V8 and 10-speed automatic transmission.

The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree Edition is on display now at the 2020 SHOT (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade) Show in Las Vegas, with sales kicking off this summer. Pricing will be announced closer to launch.

  2. 20 inch versions of the current 18’Trail Boss wheels? Looks pretty good from here!

    1. Those are actually the optional 20″ Trail Boss wheel but done in full gloss black. The 20″ Trail Boss wheel is the same design but has a machine face with black pockets.

      1. They look great like this, bit I don’t like them with the machined face. The 2021 redline also has this setup.

  3. You probably meant 8speed auto.. and why a custom.. just like the first real tree. Let’s use a plain truck.. ugh

    1. A real tree LTZ would be a bit ironic, in my opinion. They will have special editions across the range.

  4. Does it only come in white and crew cab shortbox?

  5. I can see how this probly went down.. GM: “Hey guys, let’s Cover a Silverado trail boss in some stupid camo stickers, give it square exhaust tips and call it “RealTree” named after the stupid stickers of course. We can charge a few thousand extra because Stupid hillbillies will never realize what we have done! WE ARE BRILLIANT!!! let’s take over the world!

    1. I tire of the color and decal packages but they prove profitable.

Till they don’t we just have to get used to them.

    2. “A few thousand extra” ??? Yeah I don’t think so.
But I get they are just appearance packages, but why complain? If people want a truck that stands out from the rest, so be it.
How does this affect you in the least?

  7. Does this 2021 truck have an updated interior?

    1. That’s what I was looking for but I think this is the same interior, unless GM is going the route that the high country/ denali get exclusive interiors if not then I think 2022 is the year

  8. I saw a Realtree Edition at the auto show today and despite the criticism posted here, this truck is head and shoulders above the RST. In person, it set higher and “looks” wider due to the 20″ wheel and tire package. The hood makes it look more aggressive than the RST and the 6.2 certainly gives it the grunt the venerable 5.3 lacks. Setting next to the others this truck should be the standard equipment for people that like camping or hunting. Leave the RST for pavement pounders.

IMO, the black grill and bumpers integrate well and look as 1 piece compared to a black grill and chrome bumpers, giving it an aggressive look.

I don’t own a big truck but if I did, after seeing it I would buy it. I prefer the high/lifted versions. The 20s and AT tires look good.

Before you knock it, go see it.

  9. I was initially critical of the this when I saw the heading on the article. However, after seeing the pics and reading the article, I don’t feel like that anymore. It is pretty well done. The fact that it sits on top of the Trail Boss package saves it in my view. That package would seem to go well with the outdoor themed package like the “Real Tree”. Given how successful the Trail Boss package is, I suspect this will also be popular, as long as they don’t try to over charge for the stickers and square exhaust. Especially in certain parts of the country.

  10. Guess the Realtree edition is no longer available? It’s not in the build options.
