After an overwhelmingly positive response following the introduction of the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree concept at last year’s SEMA show, the brand has listed to its truck buying audience.
Today, Chevrolet introduced the 2016 Silverado Realtree special edition, taking cues from the popular Realtree concept show in Las Vegas.
The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree edition takes inspiration from strength, versatility and personalization possible with the Silverado. The outdoorsy theme carries through its genuine camouflage graphics from Realtree on the outside, and embroidered Realtree logos on the front-seat headrests. Real tree camo may also be found throughout the interior cabin in various trim pieces and graphics. Special edition black bowties off-road assist steps and black 20-inch wheels with all-terrain tires round out the exterior looks.
Chevrolet says the Silverado Realtree edition is the latest step in showcasing the Silverado’s capabilities, and the strongest example of its decade-long partnership with Realtree.
“The capability of Chevy trucks has always enabled customers to go where they want to go and that’s the inspiration for the new Silverado Realtree Edition,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing. “Personalized for the outdoorsman, this great-looking, very capable Silverado offers another choice for customers looking for a truck with style, capability and dependability.”
The 2016 Silverado Realtree edition may be had only with the 1500 LTZ crew cab model. Included with the Realtree edition is the Z71 off-road package, featuring Rancho monotube shocks, Hill Descent Control, an underbody shield and a G80 locking differential.
The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado Realtree will be available this spring, and joins the 2016 Silverado Special Ops edition for production.

Special Edition models are a great for adding to the Chevy’s bottom line but I wish they would do a model that would a more ‘Go’ instead of all this ‘Show’.
Where is the Raptor fighter that everyone has been begging for?
What about a sport truck also?
I agree . Maybe its time for Chevy to fill in the hole left from the demise of the Hummer . What better time with gas prices so low . Take a Tahoe and give it real off-road capabilities . GM has a huge parts bin to pull from so it wouldn’t take long to bring to market .
I’m sorry, I’m just let down by yet another dressed up Silverado. I agree we need a special edition, be it a true Raptor fighter, or bare bones trail truck with off road goodies. Sometimes I think GM should run all ideas by me first 😉
The Reaper is the Raptor Fighter.
One thing I see wrong with this set up is the wheels and tires. Being a hunting truck. It should have the 18’s with th dura tracs like the midnight edition. Much better for being off-road.
