Production
Production of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq started on May 4th, 2023 at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee. This plant supplies the Lyriq to all markets except for China.
Meanwhile, the SAIC-GM Cadillac Jinqiao plant supplies the vehicle to the Chinese domestic market.
Platform
Like all first-generation Lyriqs, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq continues to ride on the GM BEV3 platform, a skateboard-style electric vehicle architecture utilized by a wide variety of GM EVs. Fittingly, the BEV3 stands for “Battery Electric Vehicle 3”, as it replaces the BEV2 platform.
The Lyriq uses Ultium batteries and Ultium Drive motors, which are fully integrated with the BEV3 architecture.
Seating
The 2024 Lyriq is offered in one seating configuration (2-3) seating a maximum of five passengers. This setup features front bucket seats (providing seating for two), along with a 60/40 split bench seat in the second row (seating three).
Beyond 2024
We expect the current, first-generation Lyriq to remain in production through at least the 2028 model year, and an all-new, next-generation Lyriq to launch after the 2028 model year.
