2024 Buick Envision Plus Officially Debuts In China

Following the unofficial reveal of Buick’s refreshed crossover earlier this year, the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision Plus has just officially debuted in China.

General Motors’ SAIC-GM joint venture in China just revealed the first official images of the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision Plus, presenting the most notable changes for the extended-length variant of Buick‘s compact crossover, which is exclusive to the Asian country. The updated Envision Plus is ready for launch in the Chinese market with significant design and technology improvements and a higher level of refinement.

Notably, the automaker introduced the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision Plus in the range-topping Avenir trim level – the only configuration that had not yet come to light – with a more stylized exterior and a completely redesigned interior with premium finishes. The Avenir variant is characterized by its elegant appearance with bright moldings and all body panels painted in the same color – including lower-body trim.

In addition to adopting the brand’s new global image and Pure Design language on the exterior, the refreshed 2024 Buick Envision Plus adopts a next-generation interior design with the brand’s latest technological solutions and features. This includes the massive, class-leading 30-inch Eyemax 6K curved display that sets up the new Buick eConnect Virtual Cockpit, as well as a 121-tone ambient lighting system and more refined materials.

Mechanically, the 2024 Buick Envision Plus is expected to continue offering turbocharged 1.5L and 2.0L engines. The base versions will be powered by the 1.5L I4 engine with 208 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque, while uplevel trims like the Avenir will come standard with the 2.0L I4 LSY engine developing 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. Both are mated to GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission.

The 2024 Buick Envision Plus is expected to officially launch in the coming weeks in China, the only country where the extended-length Envision is manufactured and sold. The 2024 Envision Plus will continue Buick’s product offensive and follow in the footsteps of the refreshed 2024 Envision S that launched in the Chinese market at the end of March.

  1. I can’t even tell if that’s an Enclave or Envision.

  2. I can tell and I think it’s the best-looking Buick now in production. I wish GM would offer it in the US.

    1. I didn’t mean it as a negative. I think they’re great looking. I just honestly thought they posted photos of an Enclave by accident.

  3. PLEASE PLEASE bring this to the USA Buick. I love the design of the new Enclave but it’s simply too large. The Envision is too small. This would fit in perfectly.

  4. Buick has had this love affair with China for over 30 years, as far as I’m concerned they can stay there with this ‘Invasion’

    1. Okay. So don’t buy one. Thankfully your generation is shrinking and companies no longer cater to your demographic. Sorry!

  5. Love the car, but still no hybrid : (

  6. This is exactly what I thought the enclave was going to look like for 2025 but unfortunately buick decided to go another route I’m trying to warm up to the new enclave’s styling but it’s too aggressive looking in the front. The envision plus should have been the 2025 enclave in my opinion. Buick should bring over the envision plus oh it would be a best seller for sure.

  7. As noted earlier here…bringing this to the U.S. and Canada is a no-brainer. Also, offer a MILD hybrid version, without the annoying “virtue-signaling” plug-in!
