The 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban each represent the fourth model year for the full-size SUVs’ current generation, featuring small changes and updates over their 2023 model year counterparts. Now, GM Authority has learned that a 22-inch wheel option is available to order again for both SUVs, providing yet another sizable wheel option suitable for these large vehicles.
Said rollers are the 22-inch Multi-spoke Chrome wheels (RPO code SSI), which are available on LS, LT, RST, Premier and High Country trims for both the 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban as a $3,795 option. Note that these wheels are not able to be added to Z71 models. These wheels were initially added for the 2022 model year, and became unavailable to order in October 2021 due to a supplier constraint. They were unavailable since then.
A set of factory-installed wheel locks are included with the new wheels, while the wheels themselves are LPO-level, meaning they are installed by the dealer. As a reminder, when an LPO-level wheel is selected, the vehicle in question leaves the factory on a set of 22-inch steel wheels, while the suspension is aligned to the proper specifications to accommodate the 22-inch Chrome wheels. Then, once the vehicle reaches its destination dealer, the transit wheels are swapped out and shipped back to the factory.
In addition to the return of the 22-inch Chrome wheels (SSI), it’s worth noting that the 22-inch multi-spoke Chrome wheels (SSW) are once again available to order, which also cost $3,795. Note that these two wheels differ slightly in design.
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Tahoe and 2024 Chevy Suburban each offer three powerplant options. The first is the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, followed by the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and finally, the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine.
The GM T1 platform provides the underpinnings for both SUVs, while production takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Nice wheels!
This is good to see, as I am not a fan of the black wheels that the dealers love to order.
Before long they will just make the wheels out of rubber and not even bother with tires.
