Summer is winding down, and fall is just around the corner. Seems like a great time to head to the beach for a little sun and surf, if you’re able. Unfortunately for this C8 Corvette, its driver decided to take the mid-engine sports car all the way to the water, and, surprise surprise, it got stuck.
Coming to us from social media, the video is only a few seconds long, but captures the situation perfectly. The video appears as though it was taken from the cab of a pickup truck, which drives up on the stuck C8 Corvette as it struggles to free itself from the deep, wet sand. A large group of people are seen milling around as a few others push and pull on the Corvette’s body panels.
As we can see, the rear wheels of the C8 Corvette are buried several inches under the sand. As the driver stabs as the throttle, we see the alloys scoop up several clumps of the stuff, burying the wheel deeper and deeper. It seems as though this tactic has been tried more than once, likely with exactly the same results.
As the camera moves away, we see a group of people pushing on the front end of the C8 Corvette, trying to dislodge it from its hole. Funny enough, the pickup with the individual taking the video simply drives off, rather than help. It looks like the tide might be coming in as well.

This poor C8 Corvette never really stood a chance. It’s kind of wild to think anyone would be silly enough to take their brand new sports car to the beach, but as it turns out, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen this kind of situation. In fact, back in April of 2022, we covered another viral video showing yet another C8 Corvette stuck in Texas, and the solution wasn’t exactly pretty. Check out that video to see what we mean.

It is very scary that someone this unintelligent, even has the mental capacity to safely drive on city roads.
Another Darwin Award nominee!
Maybe this Corvette floats.
But but but look how cool my car looks on the beach!
It’s refreshing to know that my children and grandchildren are competing against this level of brilliance in the job market!
I witnessed a pickup truck attempt to turn around on the wetter, seemingly firmer sand
and sunk up to the frame, tide came up. Eventually it was removed, not sure how.

I love watching in-DUH-viduals .
If only the Vette Man had used the 2024 Silverado 1500 22 inch wheels and tires on his ride, this embarrassing situation would not have happened. Now, it won’t be surprising if his car was totaled out due to salt water damage along with every body panel, spoiler and other trim broken and/or pulled out thanks to an enthusiastic crowd of beach bums wanting to help.
But alas, the 2024f Silverado1500 22 inch wheels are unavailable due to supplier constraints with no future availability date known……..
This typifies the mentality of most kinuckle dragging Vette owners. Why am I not surprised?
As a Vette owner (C7 GS) and a huge Vette racing fan, your comment is not warranted and is also quite bush league. By posting childish ad hominem, it destroys any legitimacy that you may have had.
What a stupid comment Dewey!!!
This is the counterargument to buying used cars. People say to let the original owner take the depreciation hit…which makes sense (when the market isn’t causing used cars to appreciate), but unless you’ve known the prior owner, there is risk of this kind of ownership history. Even a very low-mileage used car could have had some beach time, or worse.
Also, the two guys with the helmets on really make the video comical…safety first.
What a dumba$$
Stupid is as stupid does
James Bond with a white lotus driving out of the water , he is not.
True shameful story … 1967 FLA vaca, age stupid 22, I drove my ’62 Healey 3000 INTO THE SURF on hard-packed Daytona Beach. Up to the knock-offs on the wires, yeah… rockers under the salt water. On the way back north a few days later on I-75 near Ocala I drove 50 mph thru a blinding FLA downpour for 10 min. All I could see was one white stripe at a time of the centerline. When the rain stopped scores of cars were “parked” in the median and on the berm. I was the only fool to drive thru it.
Two years later… no sign of rust anywhere. The nuclear power wash neutralized the salt bath. Sometimes two wrongs DO make a right .

Looks like the Corvette that attempted the maneuver in Stone Harbor, NJ a couple weeks ago.
How is someone this stupid able to afford a Vette? Imagine the paint after all the Sandy hands pushing it. Wonder if it’s a lease?
some people have more money than brains. The money made them stupid, because they never have to think in their lives. They just pay for everything. Money does not = brains.
you know the guy?
Seems that *someone* wasn’t taking any notes during the training scenes on the beach in Cars 3!
“On sand, you gotta ease into your starts…”
The guy definitely wins the DUMB ASS of the year award .
Well it is a STINGRAY so you have to let it swim . lol

Goes to show you you don’t have to be smart to have a lot of money and then take it to the beach and throw it away Another day another strikeout
