Though the 2024 Cadillac Escalade, like other GM full-size 2024 SUVs, won’t get a mid-cycle refresh as originally anticipated, it received several updates and changes as the fourth model year of the luxury SUV’s fifth generation. Among these, the GM Super Cruise system (RPO code UKL) will feature as standard on most variants.
The only 2024 Cadillac Escalade trim that will not equip Super Cruise as standard will be the base Luxury trim, which will also not offer the driver assist technology as an optional feature.
Super Cruise will be equipped as standard on the Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport Platinum and Escalade-V trim levels and variants of the 2024 Cadillac Escalade, GM Authority has learned.
Previously, Super Cruise was an available option for the 2023 Cadillac Escalade. GM planned to offer the technology as standard on the 2022 model year’s Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, and Sport Platinum trim levels. However, this plan was thwarted by supplier constraints that prevented Cadillac from equipping its SUV with the feature.
Instead, Super Cruise was offered in limited supply during the 2022 and 2023 Cadillac Escalade model years. Currently, Super Cruise a forced $2,500 extra-cost option on all remaining 2023 model-year production, for the Premium Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury Platinum, and Sport Platinum trims, with the base Luxury excepted.
As a reminder, the Super Cruise feature the 2024 Cadillac Escalade will receive is The General’s proprietary semi-autonomous driver assist system. It enables hands-free operation during extended periods of driving on mapped routes. The NHTSA rates the GM Super Cruise system as a Level 2 autonomous technology, classifying it as a driver assist, not a fully autonomous system.
The 2024 model year will also get several 20th Anniversary of V-Series aesthetic features on the 2024 Cadillac Escalade-V performance variant. These include a custom grille header, an exclusive puddle lamp projector, and a new wake-up animation screen.
The 2024 Escalade-V will also mark the V-series 20th anniversary with availability of the exclusive heritage Black Diamond Tricoat exterior paint color (color code GLK). The special tint is also offered on the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V, CT4-V Blackwing, CT5-V, and CT5-V Blackwing.
The GM T1 platform provides the bones for the 2024 Cadillac Escalade, while production takes place exclusively at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

Super Cruise is great, but at this point I’m waiting for Ultra Cruise. Why no word about that? I thought it was scheduled for 2024 models?
Exactly. I have been waiting for Ultra Cruise and it has seemed to disappear from the GM line. Only thing i can figure is major problems with it working, or just way too expensive. Either way, I was really working to hold out for Ultra Cruise. i was willing to go without it when i saw read the many posts that talked about the many mid upgrades like the full dash etc. Now they are all gone for now too. I was pretty set on getting the new Escalade, but now with all the delays, I’m going to look at a few others too now before making any decision for 2024, maybe the Navigator might be looking just as good to me. I’m not as interested in paying a premium and then having the model go through some major upgrades the next year.
