2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Availability To Increase Over 2023 Model

The sixth-generation Chevy Camaro is headed out the door, with the 2024 Chevy Camaro dropping in as the current gen’s final model year. With this in mind, the 2024 Chevy Camaro offers a few important updates and changes compared to the preceding 2023 model year. Now, GM Authority has learned that GM will increase availability of the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1.

The right three quarters of the Chevy Camaro ZL1.

According to GM Authority sources, GM will build slightly more units of the Chevy Camaro ZL1 than were produced during the course of the 2023 model year. Per sources familiar with the matter, availability of the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 will increase by 12 percent compared to availability of the 2023 Chevy Camaro ZL1.

Unfortunately, it’s also likely that the production constraint on the Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE will continue due to extremely low supply of the exposed weave carbon fiber rear spoiler (RPO code T42) offered as part of the ZL1 1LE Extreme Track Performance Package (RPO code A1Z).

To note, the exposed weave carbon fiber rear spoiler is also included in the Collector Edition package for the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1. The Collector’s Edition package is one of two special variants on offer for the final model year of the current sixth-gen Camaro, the other being the 2024 Chevy Camaro Garage 56 Edition.

The Collectors Edition package is available for all 2024 Chevy Camaro trim levels, and includes a range of content that enhances the sports car’s styling both outside and in the cabin. Highlights include special paint options, striping, unique badging, and aero components. Critically, production of the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition will be limited to 350 units total, 300 of which will be reserved for the U.S. market, per a GM Authority exclusive.

For those who may have missed it, GM will produce more 2024 Chevy Camaro units with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT1 engine than were produced for the 2023 model year, per yet another GM Authority exclusive.

  4. I’m number one on the list at my Chevy dealership for a 2024 ZL1 non-collectors edition. Reading this article is encouraging that my order will be picked up. I’m excited to get in the last of gas before everything turns electric. Old school American muscle guy here.

  7. bought a ‘23 regular 6 spd man. from out out state with all the options I wanted. It was difficult to find. The others I considered were too expensive or was the 1LE or an auto. Tranny which was a deal breaker. This was in April and I found the selection to be pretty scarce nationwide. Am a very happy camper now.
