The sixth-generation Chevy Camaro is not long for this world, with the 2024 Chevy Camaro serving as the final model year. However, before the sixth-gen’s departure, GM will launch a new special variant dubbed the Collector’s Edition. Now, the Bow Tie brand has released fresh details on what the new 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition will offer.
Back in 2021, GM Authority was the first to report that the 2024 Chevy Camaro would offer a special “farewell” package. The new 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition will be available on LT / RS, LT1, SS, and ZL1 trim levels in North America
The 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition pays homage to Camaros of the past, specifically the first-gen model from the ‘60s and the program’s “Panther” code name. What’s more, Chevrolet Performance Design Studio looked to the code name when it came to styling upgrades, such as with the paint options.
“We found it fitting for this Collector’s Edition Camaro to officially recognize the significance of the original code name and share it with Camaro enthusiasts,” said design director, Chevrolet Performance, Rich Scheer. “Of course, the name ‘Panther’ influenced the colors used, Panther Black Metallic for SS and Panther Matte Black for ZL1.”
Opting for the Collector’s Edition on LT / RS, LT1, and SS trim levels includes the Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat paint, plus Satin Black accents stripes, 20-inch Satin Black wheels (or optional Polished Forged Wheels), and the front splitter from the 1LE package. Coupes get the ZL1 rear spoiler as well.
Stepping up to the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition incudes Panther Matte Black paint (the first factory matte paint option offered for Camaro), a Black Metallic ZL1 stripe, red brake calipers, black lug nuts, the ZL1 1LE front splitter, and for Coupes, the ZL1 1LE rear wing. The 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition will be limited to 350 units total, with each example equipped with a serialized steering wheel badge.
All 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition units will include a unique front fender script and a panther on the steering wheel badge, plus unique floor mats with a laser-etched aluminum Collector’s Edition logo and unique black interior bits. Customers will also receive a welcome kit with two posters, while ZL1 Collector’s Edition owners will receive a Canfield sport watch as well.
Orders for the 2024 Chevy Camaro open up June 15th, with pricing starting at $32,495. No word on pricing for the new 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition. Per a GM Authority exclusive, production of the 2024 Chevy Camaro will begin in August.

NICE But wait for the BIGGGGGGGGGGG Mark-ups. I bet Dale Jr. gets 1 along with Rick H.
This is a joke right?
Hidden headlights and a houndstooth interior would have been great options. The Collector’s Edition will be on constraint for most dealers.
Most? Theres 3000 dealers for 300 cars. so 90%+ wont see one, assuming its only 1 per store. if 1 store gets multiples, its an even bigger joke.
Can’t wait to see how the Dealers screw the consumer on this one. Lets try and guess how much over “Sticker”, these will sell for. Everytime there is a “Special” edition, the price goes up. No one can tell me these will be worth it. Just wait. GM has an “ALL NEW” Camaro hiding away. Just wait a few years and we will see the “New” Camaro come out of the wood work. Be it an E version, or somenew fangled LS version. Don’t worry, it’s coming for sure. Just at a super high price.
we had one dealer state they were doing 50K over sticker. that is ridiculous!!
Beautiful car. Hard to believe GM is ending it.
Doesn’t matter you have no shot at getting one at least not at a respectable price.
GM is such a joke nowadays! I sure all the Kool Aid drinkers will comment but I’m going to sell my C8 and grab a dark horse. Yeah yeah it’s not a super car but GM will not take advantage of this guy anymore. C’mon I know your in the business of making money but seriously, the way you have been treating customers!! Bye buy GM
That’s how it’s supposed to work. “Vote” with your hard-earned dollars. Not finding any fault with that.
Curious though, how is GM taking advantage of you?
They are taking advantage of everyone with not even being able to obtain a base C8 and then adding new variants on top that you won’t be able to get either. Yes you can order and at most dealers get MSRP but with constant delays and what time frame. Yes wonderful car but poor rollout with only profits in mind. Again yes there are in business to make money but like the rest of the world today at the cost of sticking to the customer with the arrogance of assuming customers will be there in the future and overlooking it all, but again we all drink the F you kool aide.
How has GM been screwing its customers? I have worked at the front of the dealer for over 7 years. We work hard to provide great deals on trades since there’s not a lot of rebates. We never sell over msrp, not even on corvettes. I have a long list of clients who are excited to get the last gas Camaro, understand it will cost more, as it should. The last of anything is typically more expensive. Can’t judge the manufacturer for a few bad dealers. Try and go by a dodge or Ford, way worse than the chevy dealers.
This is what they come up with, must have taken all afternoon and a couple drinks to whip that up. I’ve seen better ideas for the Camaro on line. Seriously who’s stupid idea was it to drop a car so important to hotrod and muscle car industry.
Good luck finding a DARK HORSE @ MSRP. I think the 5.0 and DARK HORSE look much better than the CAMARO.
Sorry to say ! Does not seem special enough to want one????
Hate to see the Camaro go but id rather see it leave with an ice under the hood and respectfully bow out vs put an electric motor in it. Sacrilege!
i think i get it now…. gm is just disappointing us early (as usual) so that way when they disappoint us again in the future by disrespecting the camaro’s name, we won’t get our hopes up. because paying 5, 6 and 15 GRAND for the SAME BASIC PACKAGE is downright stupid. idgaf if only 350 are being made. black metallic paint….. we SURELY haven’t seen that before 🤡
Been screwed on my last three GM products by three different dealers. 2018 Silverado, 2015 C7, and 2022 Camaro SS. GM ran through my blood since childhood, but no more. Bought a 2021 Mustang GT Premium for nearly $3000.00 under sticker. Good car, so far. Even better than C7 that had serious mechanical issues starting around 3000 miles. Bought it new off showroom floor. No more GM anything for me.
I will keep my gen 5 Z/28 and watch the crazy market, thanks!
Paul, couldn’t have said it better. No more for me either. If the GM executives even follow this, trust me, they are laughing and could care less about the customer. It’s all greed and no respect for its base.
Dark Horse package on a mustang puts it in the price range of a ZL-1 base, with no performance mods. I have always been a Camaro guy I had two of the return SS Camaros 1996 and a 1997 both were a limited run and built by SLP. The only 300 car collector I know of is the Blackhawk TA
Corvette “ordering” is a joke and all GM has done is pay lip service to the markups.
Now they are closing order books for a 2024 model in September of 2023 – are you kidding? The last of the model to boot. SMH.
