2024 Chevy Blazer EV Availability And Revised Pricing Announced In Canada

As reported by GM Authority in July 2023, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV was officially announced for the Canadian market. As such, General Motors has released updated Blazer EV availability and pricing figures for the United States’ Northern neighbor.

The trim level lineup of Canadian-bound 2024 Blazer EV units will include 2LT, RS and SS, as the initially announced 1LT trim level has been dropped. Although The General hasn’t released official pricing details on the entry-level 2LT FWD trim, the 2LT AWD model will boast a starting MSRP of $63,298 CAD, which includes freight delivery charges, dealer fees and $100 federal A/C tax. Unfortunately, updated MSRP figures haven’t been released for the SS AWD variant – which will stand as the most expensive model. However, the RS RWD will feature a starting price of $73,298 CAD.

As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV rides on the GM BEV3 platform, which it shares with the Chevy Equinox EV and Cadillac Lyriq, while motivation is derived from GM Ultium Drive motors and GM Ultium batteries. Production is currently under way at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.

  1. There’s a error in your chart.
The 2LT will only be offer in AWD form as well.
The GM site, has axed totally, the FWD variant.

  2. According to a friend in the loop, dealers are getting hosed for an all new charger for the new Blazer. The Bolt and Bolt EUV chargers are going to be obsolete and they are less than two years old. The new charger is around $100,000. Maybe a dealer can elaborate more. It’s going to take a while to recoup that kind of money. He was talking about adding a $2,000 franchise compliancy fee to all EV units to recover his investment.

    1. Canadians don’t want EV. Not good on cold weather.

      1. Both my wife and I have been driving tesla model 3’s for the past 3 years during Montreal winters. The small loss of range during the winter is insignificant VS the over 500km range you get on a charge. I get between 380-430km of range in the winter. Not to mention the HVAC system heats instantly with no need to “warm up” the car. The traction control on an EV adjusts much more rapidly to slip than a regular ice vehicle. This is due to the instant response of the electric Motors. Lastly, ill mention the weight of the car, it helps greatly with traction in the snow.

Also, the 3 year combined gas savings of my wife and I has been over $30000 in a 3 year period. In that 3 year period, the only maintenance done was a brake service every 25k km and windshield washer fluid being added.

Don’t discount an EV during the winter based on fear mongering from others. If you’re not driving over 400km a day regularly in the winter, you’ll benefit from an EV vs an ICE vehicle.

    2. There is no such thing as a Bolt Charger. Chargers are on board the vehicles. . There are level 1 level 2 and dcfc. Dcfc vary from about 50 kw to. 350 kw.
Thst said, no way can the Blazer compete with a Tesla Model y on price

  3. 2LT AWD: $63,298 😱
I know this is the Canadian price, but the ICE LT Blazer is $44,974 Canadian. The 2LT AWD EV tops even most expensive ICE Blazer (Premier) which is currently $54,079 Canadian. What ever happened to the promise of price parity between ICE and EVs?

  5. $70,000+ for any trim of Chevy Blazer is ridiculous.

Lots of articles out there now showing Canadians not jumping on the EV bandwagon for their next vehicle

  6. The pricing on these models is absolutily crazy. No government grants to match the USA $7500.00 grants? Who in their right mind will buy these vehicles? Hey trudeau, watch how many people buy these overpriced,non-polluting vehicles, instead of paying for your high interest rates on homes, cars, trucks, food, and overtaxed population! Just ridiculous! Too bad, these new EV Vehicles look great!
