The first-generation Chevrolet Equinox EV was originally teased in January 2022 at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). It officially debuted in September 2022 as a 2024 model year vehicle, set to launch in Fall 2023.

As the second Chevrolet electric vehicle to ride on the GM BEV3 platform – the first being the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV – the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV will boast a starting price of roughly $30,000 for the base 1LT trim level. Featuring GM Ultium battery and Ultium Drive motor technologies, the Equinox EV will launch after the larger Blazer EV, which itself is set to go on sale in Spring 2023.

As for output, FWD models will produce 210 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque, while eAWD models will produce 290 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque.

Production of the first-generation Chevrolet Equinox EV will take place at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico.
