General Motors unveiled the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 this past February, introducing a variety of important updates and changes, including a new exterior design, a new interior, and new tech items. Critically, GM did not announce any powertrain changes in conjunction with the refresh. Nevertheless, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 presents slightly revised fuel economy ratings compared to the preceding 2023 model year.
Putting the numbers side-by-side, we find that the 2024 Cadillac XT4 posts 24 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined when equipped with front-wheel drive. Compared to front-wheel-drive variants of the 2023 Cadillac XT4, these figures are up 1 mpg in the city and down 1 mpg on the highway. Meanwhile, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 posts 23 mpg city, 28 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined when equipped with all-wheel drive, which is up 1 mpg in the city, down 1 mpg on the highway, and up 1 mpg compared to all-wheel-drive variants of the 2023 Cadillac XT4.
Notably, all configurations of the Cadillac XT4, including both model years mentioned, are equipped as standard with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, which is rated at 235 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. The GM nine-speed automatic transmission is also equipped as standard.
