2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 Reservations Full

GM officially unveiled the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 yesterday, introducing an all-new, all-electric version of the popular pickup nameplate. Reservations opened with the debut, and unsurprisingly, all reservations are now spoken for.

GM opened reservations for the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 at the GMC website on October 20th, 2022 at 5 p.m. EST. Fifteen minutes later, the option to make a reservation was replaced by the option to join the waitlist. Now, interested customers who want to join the waitlist are prompted to input their name, email, phone number, and zip code.

Previously, each 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 reservation required a $100 refundable reservation amount, with GM stipulating that reservations do not guarantee delivery within a certain period of time, and that the dealer sets the final price for the vehicle.

The 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 is set to launch early in the 2024 calendar year, and will be available by reservation only. The GMC Sierra EV Denali will be next in line, launching in the spring of the 2024 calendar year, followed by the GMC Sierra EV AT4 late in the 2024 calendar year and the GMC Sierra EV Elevation early in 2025.

Obviously, the 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 is the range-topper of the lineup. Pricing is estimated to start at $107,000 for the Edition 1, while the lower trim levels will start around $50,000.

Under the skin, the 2024 GMC Sierra EV rides on the GM BT1 platform, with GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium drive motors onboard for motivation. The Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 model produces a maximum of 754 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque in Max Power mode, which is enough to send the all-electric truck from 0 to 60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds. Maximum range per charge is estimated at 400 miles.

Production of the 2024 GMC Sierra EV will initially take place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan, while future GMC Sierra EV models will be produced at the GM Lake Orion plant in Michigan.

  1. It is ugly too busy complicated, AN ev PICKUP does not mean to resembling as having an engine, do the new school

  2. WHAT AN UGLY TRUCK

    1. Agreed. Why does the industry think EV’s have to look futuristic? Most EV’s suffer from “EV” styling, being recognizable as an EV right away. The exception is the Porsche Taycan.

How about design a nice looking vehicle and make it electric if that is your pursuit.

  3. Looks great. GM found a really good balance of truck and ev, exactly like it should be.

    1. Not limited to the select few; if the Elevation Trim level that is set to come on board will start at 50k, according to the photo of the Truck shown at the far left in the group of three.

  5. Ugly wheels. Just keep making ICE trucks for those of us who need real trucks.

    1. You’ll be able to carry groceries just as well as you currently do in your pickup truck.

      1. This won’t replace my ICE Silverado, I have a Nox for groceries.

        1. So replace the box with an ev

  6. How many reservations were given?? If it was only 100, then their all probably GM execs. If it was 100,000 then that’s news. Given I don’t see a number, probably the former 🙄 can we stop this insanity? What’s bigger news is that all the 2023 order books are closed for most ICE vehicles

    1. Fortunately we have a big beautiful global recession coming.
GM is so naive jumping head first into the EV cult.

      1. yeah, GM USA is trying to be a Premium Rolls Royce Company.. so saw the DAX BMW and NYSE GM
        1. DAX BMW just earn, and earn and earn money, more and more with rich people, their strategy
        2. NYSE GM was last year a mountain down hill, but they are surviving, not hearing in news another bankruptcy, because government is behind driving them crazy, Just comes odd models

    2. Well Steve, EV Vehicles are for people having a bought and paid house for at least € 1 million in value… As GM is working EVs only for USA and China, and in both countries have thousands millionaires and billionaires, it has a chance. GM in South America continues doing ECE cars and trucks, because this is what makes easy money and what most of those countries can afford, not only clients but cities infrastructure as well. So EVs are for Very Rich people and that has many in odd USA. As ever said if auto industry want us happy with newer cars, do E85 flexi ethanol-electric hybrid, otherwise we keep our 2013 Dacia Sandero for the rest of our lives, not the best design, but best compromise for 4 wheels

    3. The bigger news is that Tesla is one example, that EV demand is up and it has the sales numbers to backit up, I myself still fall within the category of ICE vehicles and still will when the 2025 Sierra ICE comes on board for loyal and new customers alike, but I will also convert to EV technology by decades end, I simply cannot afford what’s currently available based on what I want in EV technology; but in 3 more years, that won’t be an issue.

  8. Love the look for the most part (that grille will take some getting used to). Interior looks classy. Looks like a cross between the Hummer EV (Crabwalk and 400mi range) and the Silverado EV (mid-gate, 22″ wheels). I made a reservation as a potential replacement for my Hummer EV Edition 1.

    1. When you say potential replacement for your Hummer EV Edition 1, am I correct in taking it that you mean you reserved both but will pick up one and cancel the other?

      1. I already have a Hummer EV Edition 1 I bought in February. I drive it everywhere and love it! By the time the Denali EV hits the streets, I’ll be ready for something new.

  9. First off I apologize to the folks that want to purchase one of these trucks as I have absolutely no interest in it. However, does it disturb anyone concerning the comment in the article that the dealer sets the final price? It bugs the crap out of me. Why even list an MSRP if the final price is arbitrary? Sorry my opinion.

    1. Not all dealers have ADM. Most still sell at MSRP. I’ve bought C8 Corvette, Hummer EV and soon will have a Z06, all at MSRP. When ordering a vehicle, if the dealer will not sell at MSRP you can re-direct delivery to a dealer who will. You love Porsche; have you purchased a new Porsche without market adjustment in the past 10 years? All brand dealers do it; they have what we want and some charge what the market will bear.

      1. Well, look who’s not middle class and flaunts it. I’m lucky to afford a new car period and never pay MSRP…. You know like most people. Thanks for driving up the price for the rest of us.

        Reply
        1. How does paying MSRP drive up costs for everyone else, seriously? I drive my cars for years and sell at or below what I paid, never more. I’m not flipping for a profit. BTW, I am also middle class. I just have screwed up priorities…just ask my wife! 😉

    2. It’s always been a estimate by the manufacturer. There’s always been dealer incentives going on so folks haven’t noticed.

  10. For 107,000 starting price they better make it look a hell of a lot better the time you’re done it’ll Be 120

  11. I wonder how many have a reservation for both the Silverado EV and the Sierra EV and will decide later based on delivery date, what it looks like in person, etc.

    Reply
  12. Even if that happens, just like they further marked up the prices on the Mach-E, F-150 Lighting and the Hummer EV, people with well equipped financial means were basically unfazed and the Automakers have seen it based on how that also played out during the Pandemic. Besides we can’t expect for gm to be the Middle Class to Low Income Car Company forever, they have to develop a portfolio in order to try and level off with their more expensive competitors and if that excludes me, so be it.

    1. I see a farce in this whole “premium is where it’s at” mantra. Who’s the biggest retailer? Walmart. Who owns Ferrari? Freakin fiat of all companies. Who produces the most computers? Leni-freakin-novo. Most profitable restaurant? McDonald’s. Biggest tool company? Stanley black-&-decker. All the companies are volume, not premium providers. PREMIUM IS NOT WHERE THE MONEY IS. Volume is.

Who’s the world most profitable automaker? Toyota….. and doing it by selling scrappers like the hilux in Africa for Pennys

  13. Another thing to consider. The domestics used to discount from msrp. The import brands didn’t very much. Now with everyone paying MSRP or more, it opens your shopping options up considerably.

Do you really want to reward this behavior from these shyster dealerships? Dealer markup. Ridiculous.

  14. Why do these overpriced EV’s have to be so blasted ugly and have such hideous wheels?
