The online configurator tool for the 2023 Chevy Suburban has officially gone live on the American automaker’s website, allowing users to view different exterior and interior colors on the full-size SUV, apply various options and equipment packages, and receive a complete pricing breakdown of their preferred build specification.
One of the central changes made to the Chevy Suburban for the 2023 model year is the introduction of a revised exterior color palette, with GM dropping the Satin Steel Metallic, Evergreen Gray Metallic and Cherry Red Tintcoat exterior colors from the order book and indirectly replacing them with Silver Sage Metallic, Radiant Red Tintcoat and Sterling Gray Metallic. The full-size SUV has also received the automaker’s hands-free, semi-autonomous Super Cruise system as an optional extra, however this will be a late availability feature for 2023 due to the semiconductor chip shortage. The camera-based Enhanced Trailer View feature is also unavailable to order on the Suburban at the moment due to the chip shortage.
The 2023 Chevy Suburban continues unchanged far as powertrain offerings are concerned. The naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, rated at 355 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 383 pound-feet of torque at 4,100 rpm, continues as the entry-level engine and is joined by the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque, as well as the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax, rated at 277 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 460 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm.
Production of the 2023 Chevy Suburban kicked off at the GM Arlington plant in Texas on July 18the, as GM Authority reported previously. Pricing starts at $56,995, including destination freight charge (DFC) for the LS trim level with rear-wheel drive and the 5.3L V8 L84 engine.
