GMC Hummer EV Set For Official Reveal On October 20th

Hype for the all-new GMC Hummer EV is growing, and luckily, anxious fans won’t have to wait too much longer to finally lay their eyes on all its battery-driven utility glory, as General Motors has officially announced that the GMC Hummer EV debut will take place on Tuesday, October 20th, 2020.

The announcement was made via press release earlier today, and included a brief teaser video showing off the new GMC Hummer EV’s Crab Mode, which incorporates a four-wheel-steer system that enables the vehicle to move in a diagonal direction.

The GMC Hummer EV debut was originally scheduled for May 20th, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

General Motors also said that “customer reservations for the GMC Hummer EV will be available through GMC.com on Oct. 20. Details about how to watch this revolutionary debut will be shared closer to the reveal.”

Production is expected to kick off in the fall of 2021. Rest assured that GM Authority will be on hand to cover every aspect of the upcoming GMC Hummer EV reveal.

Until then, we still have a glut of information on the GMC Hummer EV collected thus far. Customers will also have the option for a single-motor, or dual-motor setup.

What’s more, GM has indicated that its electric truck models will equip 800V battery packs and come with the option for 350-kWh fast-charge capabilities. The automaker’s latest Ultium battery technology will provide the juice, with certain GMC Hummer EV models ranging up to 400 miles between charges.

Other standout features include next-generation Super Cruise, an Open Air Infinity Roof, Modular Sky Panels, and Ultra Vision Cameras.
