2022 GMC Yukon XL Denali Gets A Matte Grey Vinyl Wrap: Video

The aftermarket specialists over at Dave Sinclair Customs recently completed work on a customer’s Summit White 2022 GMC Yukon XL Denali, powder coating the factory GMC wheels, carrying out an exterior chrome delete and painting the front and rear GMC emblems. This customer was happy with the work but later changed their mind about the vehicle’s exterior color theme, so they sent it back to Dave Sinclar Customs to apply a matte grey vinyl wrap.

This GMC Yukon XL Denali is the subject of the latest YouTube video from Dave Sinclair Customs. As the shop explains in the video description, the customer first asked them to paint the chrome exterior trim Summit White to match the body and create a monochromatic theme, however the customer then returned to the shop to have the vehicle wrapped matte grey. This wrap gives the SUV a more menacing exterior appearance, with the matte grey wrap matching the black powder-coated wheels rather well. The Summit White-painted GMC emblems remain, while a factory GMC roof rack and side window deflectors complete the package.

The GMC Yukon XL Denali comes standard with the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. The 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine, which is rated at 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, is also available on this trim level as a no-cost option. Both of these available power units connect to the GM 10-speed automatic transmission with Electronic Precision Shift. The SUV is produced at the GM Arlington plant in Texas alongside GM’s full-size SUV family, which also includes the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban and Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV.
