2022 Chevrolet Traverse Changes, Updates, New Features

The 2022 Chevrolet Traverse receives a mid-cycle enhancement (MCE) – otherwise known as an update, refresh or facelift – for the fifth model year of the second-generation crossover, which is comprised of the following changes:

Model Line

  • Deletion of the base L equipment group
    • The base trim level is now the LS
  • Addition of Fleet Special Service Vehicle option
    • Available on LS (1FL) and LT (2FL)

Exterior

  • Addition of three new exterior colors:
    • Silver Sage Metallic
    • Northsky Blue Metallic
    • Cherry Red Tintcoat
  • Deletion of three exterior colors:
    • Satin Steel Metallic
    • Graphite Metallic
    • Cajun Red Tintcoat
  • Addition of active aero shutters, upper and lower
  • Addition of door handles, body-color with chrome strip
  • Addition of LED headlamps
  • Addition of outside heated, power-adjustable, power-folding, body-color mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators
    • Driver side includes auto-dimming feature
  • Deletion of outside heated power-adjustable and auto-dimming, manual-folding, body-color mirrors with turn signal indicators
  • Addition of rear camera mirror washer
  • Addition of 5 new wheel sets
    • 18-inch (45.7 cm) Bright Silver-painted aluminum wheels (PZW)
    • 20-inch (50.8 cm) Dark aluminum wheels (SUW)
    • 20-inch (50.8 cm) Metallic machined-face aluminum wheels (SUU)
    • 20-inch (50.8 cm) polished aluminum
    • 20-inch (50.8 cm) chrome aluminum wheels (LPO-level item)
      • Includes chrome with chrome bowtie wheel center caps and transit wheels
  • Addition of chrome wheel locks (LPO-level item)
  • Addition of new black grille (LPO-level item)
  • Deletion of black finished grill (LPO-level item)
  • Addition of Redline accent decals (LPO-level item)
  • Addition of black fog lamp trim
  • Addition of bright roof rack cross rails (LPO-level item)
  • Deletion of front fog lamps
  • Deletion of high intensity discharge headlamps
  • Deletion of black-painted mirror caps
  • Deletion of body-color moldings with chrome inserts
  • Deletion of standard black rocker moldings
  • Deletion of three wheel sets
    • 20-inch (50.8 cm) Dark Android painted aluminum (SS9) wheels
    • 20-inch (50.8 cm) Argent Metallic machine faced aluminum (Q6T) wheels
    • 20-inch (50.8 cm) polished aluminum (SN6) wheels
  • Deletion of black fog lamp trim (LPO-level item)
  • Deletion of bright roof rack cross rails (LPO-level item)

Interior

  • Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus audio system (IOU) replaces (IOT), still includes:
    • Connected navigation
    • 8-inch diagonal HD color touchscreen
    • Replaces
  • Addition of Buckle to Drive, which is standard on all models
  • Addition of 8-inch customizable, enhanced, mutli-color driver instrument information display
  • Deletion of driver 8-way power seat adjuster
  • Deletion of front passenger 6-way power seat adjuster
  • Deletion of horizontal cargo net (LPO-level item)
  • Deletion of embroidered front row headrests with logo on front (LPO-level item)
  • Deletion of garage door opener, 3-button universal programmable remote (LPO-level item)
  • Deletion of illuminated front door sill plates (LPO-level item)
  • Deletion of rear seat infotainment system without DVD player (LPO-level item)
  • Addition of Rear Pedestrian Alert
  • Addition of Safety Alert Seat
  • 8-way power driver seat adjuster (A2X) replaces (AHT)
    • Standard on all models except LS (1LS) models
  • Addition of 4-way manual front passenger seat adjuster
    • Standard on LS and LT Cloth models
  • Addition of Seat adjuster, driver 6-way manual
    • Standard on LS (1LS) models
  • 6-way power front passenger seat adjuster (A7J) replaces (AQ5)
    • Standard on LT Leather, RS, Premier, and High Country models
  • Addition of Wireless Apple CarPlay/Wireless Android Auto
  • Addition of Premium Carpet Mat Package (LPO-level item), which includes:
    • First and second row premium carpeted floor mats
    • Third row premium carpeted floor mat
  • Addition of foldable cargo organizer (LPO-level item)
  • Dual SkyScape 2-panel power sunroof with tilt-sliding front and fixed rear panels now includes a power rear sunscreen

Mechanical

  • Addition of stop-start system override button

Packages

  • Addition of Safety Package, which is standard on LS (1FL) models and available on LS (1LS) models, and includes:
  • Deletion of Interior Enhancement Package, which was available on all models except L and High Country models, and included:
    • First and second row premium carpeted floor mats
    • Third row premium carpeted floor mat
    • Embroidered front row headrests
