2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Changes, Updates, New Features

The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD receives quite a few updates and changes, including new colors, new wheel availability, new standard features, and new packaging contents.

Exterior

Deletion of two exterior color options

Addition of two exterior color options
- Mosaic Black Metallic
- Cherry Red Tintcoat
Addition of Bright power-retractable assist steps
- Only available on LTZ and High Country models
Addition of the following LPO-level wheel sets
- LPO transit wheels (Q7Q)
  - Factory-installed for models with LPO wheel options selected
- 20-inch Chrome aluminum wheels (SKW)
- 20-inch Aluminum high gloss Black with machined finish wheels (SKX)
- 20-inch high gloss Black aluminum wheels (SHH)
Deletion of 20-inch machined aluminum wheels with high gloss Black painted accents
Manual tailgate with EZ Lift, power lock and release is now standard on LT models
- For the 2020 model year, this tailgate option was included and only available on LT models equipped with the Convenience Package or Advanced Trailering Package
  - Deleted when pickup bed delete was ordered

Interior

Deletion of front 40/20/40 split bench seat
Addition of Carpeted floor liners
Addition of Wireless Phone Projection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Addition of Inside rearview mirror with partial video display
Addition of Bed View Camera
- Camera in the CHMSL to show a view of the cargo bed, display located in rearview mirror
Front 40/20/40 split-bench with upper covered armrest storage is now standard on Work Truck and Custom models
- For the 2020 model year, this seating configuration was only available for LT models
USB ports (x2) located on instrument panel now standard on Work Truck and Custom trim levels
- For the 2020 model year, this USB port option was only available for LT and LTZ models, and standard on High Country models
SiriusXM is now available on Work Truck models and standard on LT models
- For the 2020 model year, this option (U2K) was only available for Silverado Custom models equipped with the Infotainment Package
- Note: the SiriusXM radio trial package is not provided on vehicles that are ordered for Fleet Daily Rental (“FDR”) use

Mechanical

Addition of E85 FlexFuel capability for Work Truck models
- Requires 6.6-liter L8T V8 gas engine and trailer brake controller
- Regular Cab model requires WT Convenience Package
- Not available with pickup bed delete
