Buick has put a lot of attention to detail into the 2024 Buick Envista and its 2025 model year successor, and among those pleasing flourishes is the use of two different climate control panels in the vehicle depending on trim level.
GM Authority executive editor Alex Luft points out the climate control panel differences in the following video, which you can see immediately after 2:52 (the two minute, 52-second mark):
The base Preferred and mid-range Sport Touring trim levels are equipped with rotary dials for adjusting temperature and fan speed. Buttons are also included for adjusting fan direction, turning on the defrosters and activating the heated front seats (if equipped). Meanwhile, the range-topping Avenir trim gets a fancier interface with a row of chromed rocker switches.
The premium control panel is a purely aesthetic detail and offers no functional difference from the more basic variant with dials and buttons. In both cases, the controls connect to the single-zone automatic climate control that is standard on all Buick Envista trim levels.
The upcoming 2025 Buick Envista includes two newly standard features which were previously offered as options, specifically rear park assist (RPO code UD7) and the remote vehicle starter system (RPO code BTV). The model year will also get a flex-fuel engine able to run on E85 fuel and, for the exterior, one new paint color, Aquamarine Blue Metallic (paint color GKN), which indirectly replaces the outgoing Sunrise Red Metallic (paint code GMF). An 18-inch wheel option is also dropped.
Pricing for the 2025 Envista starts at a base MSRP of $23,995 for the Preferred trim, destination freight charge included. The priciest trim level, the range-topping Avenir, starts at $29,695. The crossover offers a variety of options and packages, with different builds easily experimented with using the official configurator tool.
Motivation is supplied to the 2024 Envista by the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, while this powerplant is replaced by the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LBP gasoline engine for the 2025 model year. Both engines develop the same output, 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, but the new-for-2025 LBP is E85-compatible as noted above.
Under the body panels, the Buick Envista is supported by the GM VSS-F platform. Production takes place at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.
