The 2025 Buick Envista serves as the second model year for the first-gen, U.S.-spec crossover, debuting a number of new and revised features over the initial 2024 model year. Among these is a new E85-compatible engine and a new exterior paint color. In addition, the 2025 Buick Envista will also equip two new standard features previously offered as optional.
The two features in question include rear park assist (RPO code UD7) and the remote vehicle starter system (RPO code BTV).
Rear park assist was previously offered on the 2024 Buick Envista for an extra $145, and required selection of the Advanced Safety Package (RPO code WPA, $595) on Preferred and Sport Touring trims, and the Avenir Advanced Safety Package (RPO code WPP, $795) on Avenir trims. Rear park assist is now included as standard across the board for the 2025 Buick Envista.
Meanwhile, the remote vehicle starter system was previously offered on the 2024 Buick Envista in conjunction with the Convenience I Package (RPO code ZL4), which was priced at $1,295 for the 2024 Envista Preferred trim level and $1,195 for the 2024 Envista Sport Touring trim level. The remote vehicle starter system was equipped as standard on the 2024 Buick Envista Avenir. Now, the remote vehicle starter system is standard across the board for the 2025 Buick Envista.
To note, an LPO-level (dealer installed) remote start kit (RPO code S6P) was previously available for the 2024 Buick Envista Preferred and ST for $350. Now, however, this option is obviously no longer offered.
As GM Authority covered previously, the 2025 Buick Envista now cradles a new E85-compatible engine, making the 2025 Envista flex-fuel capable. The new turbocharged 1.2L I3 LBP flex-fuel engine produces 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, matching output figures of the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine equipped previously. The 1.2L I3 LBP flex-fuel engine will only be available in the 2025 Buick Envista in the U.S. market.
As a reminder, the Buick Envista rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set, while production for the 2025 model year will kick off this May at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea.

Rear Park Assist is a start because that rear window is so raked, you have a gunslit to see out of (rear window size/visibility is rapidly becoming a HUGE negative with GM vehicles), but without a wiper/washer it’s just simply unsafe.
The cameras in GM vehicles are actually very good. So good you can see the gravel in the blacktop. You can get by without the rear park assist.
No, it’s not unsafe without a wiper or washer. It’s no different than countless other CUV or sedan rear windows that are steeply raked.
Any more word of when the 2024 refresh of the Envision will debut? They might as well make that a 2025!
How about a standard rear window wiper like it’s cheaper sister the Trax has?
Did GM really think Buick buyers were too stupid to notice or care about the missing rear window wiper?
A Buick with a 3 cylinder engine? What a joke! In China, this car gets the 1.5T and achieves 20% better gas mileage… with more restrictive emissions requirements than even California. Why does the US market get this POS?
The gist of it is they are going a lot stronger with the design and fun gimmicks aspect on most of the cars now while putting peashooter motors that will use less gas as prices for fuel climb again. This will help the supply of gas in our country go further for now. Obviously this is with the thought that the government is pushing them toward switching to all electric cars eventually. This also keeps the cost down for them to equip the vehicles with the smaller motors that will end up being throwaways. Basically without thought given to what the actual customers/citizens of this country really want and like. Maybe they cater to China by giving them better motors because it’s where they need to get a lot of what they want for their products from their manufacturing end instead of keeping the jobs here for Americans.
We’ve had our Envista for about 6 months. We love love it. Smooth quiet ride. Tiny engine has surprising power and gets great mileage. No issues with rear window. Price was way less than many other similar cars.
Saw one of these and thought it looked nice. Looked it up and saw the anemic engine. Same thing when I saw the newer Honda HRV. Why’s it so hard to offer a better engine in these?
I had my Envista for a month now and I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time for a new car. The looks are amazing and it’s really well equipped! The engine is very powerful and I had no issues with the rear window visibility. Love it!!!
