In a recent YouTube Short from Buick, we see a Buick Envista subcompact crossover do something unexpected. The title is “POV: Your #BuickEnvista is a work of art.” Who this video is from the point-of-view is unclear. The stage is set with blue bubbles in what looks like a giant cake dome in a museum. The bubbles float around like they would in a lava lamp and come together to form a 2024 Buick Envista. Specifically, a Sport Touring model finished in Ocean Blue Metallic (GZB). Seconds later, the Envista turns back into the amorphous bubbles. Check it out for yourself.
We’re not sure what we just watched. However, we agree that the sharply designed Buick Envista is, in a manner of speaking, a work of art. We love that it’s a crossover coupe for the masses, and it’s heartening to see it selling so well. It’s the crossover that ushered in a new design language for the brand that’s quickly spread to every vehicle in Buick’s U.S. lineup. Luckily for Buick, it appears that the Envista is achieving its goal of attracting younger buyers who are new to the brand. Buick has been trying to do this for decades, and it finally has a hit with a younger crowd in its most affordable model. Maybe artsy YouTube shorts like this are part of that effort.
As GM’s first crossover coupe, the Buick Envista incorporates the premium marque’s latest design language, which was introduced by the Buick Wildcat EV concept. Highlights include a long wheelbase, a crossover coupe roofline, and a sleek profile. LED checkmark lamps are placed high in the fascia.
This crossover coupe for the masses offers three distinct trim levels: Preferred, Sport Touring, and range-topping Avenir. ST trim levels are equipped with all-black 18-inch wheels as standard, with 19-inch wheels optional. Notably, the wheels on the blue Envista in this YouTube Short are the optional 19-inch rollers, which are included in the Experience Buick Package for a modest $995. Meanwhile, the Avenir trim level comes with Pearl Nickel 19-inch wheels as standard.

The auto industry has created so many crossovers, even bubbles are taking the shape now?
if seen in white among others in Zayed Roads … it is not noticed if a tesla or other
So…. What happens in a car wash?
Jax, Your Buick Envista Comes Out Sparkling! I Always use car wash.
I saw my first one today, a base white Preferred, at the doctor’s office. Uh, oh, Buick. The driver and passenger were 2 blue-haired ladies with walkers, likely in their 80s. So much for drawing a younger crowd. THAT particular parking lot has been a magnet for the same type of owners with Envision Avenirs, and now this.
I did like it better than I thought I would.
John Davis of Motorweek on PBS called the Envista “beautiful.” I call it beautiful, and apparently a lot of consumers do too. An AWESOME vehicle!
I would consider the Envista as a replacement for my Regal. However, I wish Buick had made the Avenir slightly more luxurious by including some missing features, such as dual zone climate control, rear vents, and a power passenger seat. A more powerful engine option would also be nice, but not a dealbreaker.
I wouldn’t trade my wife’s Chevy Cruze Premier RS for it. Her 6 year old car is perfect and the new Envista and Trax have too many dealer appointments for a new car.
I have the new Envista, it’s great handling , gas mpg is around 32 , and I get a lot of compliments from people who love the styling. My vehicle is noticed by the young people age 23 to 40 who ask about the price and are surprised to get that much car for the cost. Keep it up Buick, outstanding!!!!
