Second-Gen Cadillac XT5 Interior Design Fully Exposed In China

Following the first exterior image leaks of the second-generation XT5 earlier this year, the interior of the upcoming Cadillac XT5 has just been caught fully exposed in China.

Chinese media have captured a production unit of the all-new Cadillac XT5 with the cabin completely exposed, showing the interior design of Cadillac’s redesigned midsize crossover for the first time. Interior photos of the upcoming Cadillac XT5 emerge just ahead of the model’s official launch scheduled for this month – as GM Authority exclusively reported last week.

Although only a single low-resolution photo has emerged, the shared image allows us to appreciate the overall look and shows a first preview of the second-generation Cadillac XT5’s interior design. In this sense, the photo reveals the completely redesigned dashboard panel and several elements of the cabin of the XT5’s cabin, with a two-tone black and brown colorway that should be offered in the range-topping Sport equipment level.

The interior design of the all-new Cadillac XT5 adopts the latest evolution of the brand’s design language and a look quite similar to that of the brand’s new-generation models. Like the most recent launches, the new XT5 includes a driver-oriented dashboard with the massive curved display panel we first spotted last summer, in addition to the new corporate steering wheel jewel-like controls that debuted in the Cadillac Lyriq.

However, the next-gen Cadillac XT5’s dashboard stands out by featuring unique elements like a glossy finish just below the 33-inch 9K display – which becomes more prominent on the driver’s side, as well as a continuous air vent module with a horizontal arrangement extending from the center to the right side of the dashboard. In fact, the redesigned XT5 will be the first ICE Cadillac model to adopt that air vent design.

The all-new second-gen Cadillac XT5 will launch in the coming days in China, where it will be manufactured exclusively to supply the domestic market of that country. All configuration details and equipment levels will be revealed at launch. Meanwhile, GM is also considering introducing the new XT5 in North America, as we reported late last year, but there’s been no official confirmation that it’s coming to our shores.

  1. Cannot be announced for US soon enough. Build it here, sell it here. People want it.

  2. Absolutely insane if they don’t offer this here. GM and Cadillac are big enough to support BOTH a EV and ICE range of vehicles. Specially when they’ve already been designed and engineered and its just a matter of building and selling them here.

  3. Love the curved screen. Seems so much more upscale to me.

  5. I am sure this will be an unpopular opinion but here goes.

It is way more vital for the XT6 to be replaced ASAP than it is for the XT5

The Lyriq just needs to be built in larger volume and with a lower price point

THE XT6 WAS A DUD THE MINUTE IT WAS SHOWN TO THE PUBLIC!!!

    1. If GM was to make an ICE version of the Lyriq, I bet it would sell in large numbers ( way more than the EV Lyriq and priced cheaper too ) and people would forget about the XT5 pretty fast!

    2. That XT5 size is the most popular size SUV’s sold: X3, Macan, Q5, GLC, Tiguan, RAV4…so both 2 and 3rd cars are in big demand. All 4 GM products are outstanding along with the VW Atlas, whims does has less room in the back than the General’s cars. I only do GM or German and prefer BMW, VW and Audi over Mercedes.

  6. Funny thing is this redesigned xt5 looks exactly like the xt6 with a bigger screen and charging. The xt6 wasn’t a bad looking nor bad vehicle to begin with

  8. Mary is probably waiting to see who wins the election. Biden wins then more electric vehicles get shoved down our throats. Trump wins then we can still have ICE cars and electric for those who want them. Build the new XT5 in Tennessee and offer it with a V6. Stop the electric insanity and give the majority what we want !
